Brilliant TV, amazing picture, super good value for money - brilliant install experience too
Our telly broke last Sunday after 10 years of use so after a bit of research, I bought this along with the Amazon basics TV wall bracket - the whole process has been smooth and easy from start to finish. The telly - really impressive for the price - the 4K picture is sharp with dolby vision adding depth and detail to whatever you’re watching - watched the Back to the Future trilogy at the weekend and they looked fantastic - the colours are vibrant without being overblown - watched Netflix on Sunday night and my daughter was watching YouTube videos on Monday while I was working from home - the picture looks great. The VIDAA system is simple and it comes loaded with all the essential apps - Netflix, Disney+, NOW TV, YouTube, Freely - wish Sky was on there though. The install service - I opted for free the installation add-on and I’m so glad I did - the installer was a guy named James, he turned up on time, was super friendly, professional and clearly knew what he was doing - I was his 8th stop of the day and that's what he was doing all the time - deliveries and installations. He mounted the telly securely on the Amazon basics wall bracket I also bought. But it wasn’t just a wall mount job - he went the extra mile - he connected and set up my Sky box, Blu-ray player and made sure everything was properly wired - hooked it all up to my router, updated the firmware and checked the apps were working - he gave everything a thorough test and made sure all the inputs worked and the TV was calibrated - he tidied up cables neatly and gave me a few tips about the settings. To top it off, he was just a genuinely nice bloke - we ended up having a bit of a talk and it a very hot day so we had an ice cold Pepsi while he worked - it honestly felt like having a mate round rather than just a delivery/install job - you really can’t ask for better service. If you’re considering this TV, I would definitely recommend - the picture and sound punch way above the £250 odd price - the install service took all the stress out of the equation too.

Solid TV
I got the Hisense 43” 4K TV for my grandmother and me to use, and it’s worked out really well. She mainly watches her regular shows, and she’s had no trouble using it the remote is clear, the menu is simple, and she figured it out quickly. For me, the picture looks great for movies and streaming, and it works nicely for gaming too. It’s smooth enough, and the colours look really good. Sound is fine for everyday use, and setup only took a few minutes. Overall, it’s a solid TV for the price and perfect for both easy day-to-day watching and casual gaming.

Great TV so far; even if I fell through the old one
I'm not sure whether I set the TV up or if I just clicked a few buttons whilst the TV set itself up; it was so quick and easy to install. I did have a 50" Hisense TV I was perfectly happy with, but unfortunately due to myself, an unfortunate tumble and a curtain pole; I shattered it beyond repair. I ordered this as a replacement and it came the next day; delivered by lovely couriers from ArrowXL. I was concerned seeing other reviews about the sound quality and planned a sound bar in the future if needed; however this one is much, much better than the old one for sound quality. I had to have the old one on about 22 in the living room to hear well; this one is clear at 14/16. I'm one for settings so I checked the sound and picture mode; finding one that worked well. It's heavier than the old television marginally and a little thicker; however that's okay as it is a bigger screen. The picture is clear and lovely and I'm really happy with it and especially as it was a lower price than the original TV but seems much better. I'm not a big fan on the amount of themed buttons on the top of the remote; could do without those personally but it synced up to my firestick without any setup, and the firestick remote automatically controls the TV too (again with no setup, just right away). It ran a quick update after being first setup; and the OS seems quick enough and responsive too. I'm very happy and honestly always think of and come back to Hisense as they always have a reasonable price compared to other brands. UPDATE: I'm writing this on 30/06/25 and I can still say the TV is really good; still fast and clear and I've had no issues with it. Everything about still tracks.

Great decent TV for the price👍. But the speakers are poor 👎
I purchased a 65-in version of this TV overall I'm very happy with the purchase but there's one or two niggles with it. First of all the TV speakers are very tiny and not very good but just about acceptable but you can get better sound if you turn off the digital processes like digital bass boost and surround sound and one or two others. I advise anyone who appreciates decent sound I would invest in a sound bar. Also every time you go to the picture settings you get an energy warning sign on screen if you need to adjust the settings which is just irritating. There is no Freeview but replaced with freely so far has been hit and miss because the picture keep freezing every so often and pixelating on the free HD channels like BBC iTV channel 4 and 5 and I never had this problem on my old Toshiba with the aerial with Freeview. Also it doesn't give you the option to swap from freely back the Freeview which would like to see. Hisense told me it may be a bad signal from my aerial or internet for the unstable freely but that is not true the signal was 100% and broadband is working fine. Easy to install and to set up that was not a problem. Picture quality I must say is excellent at this price point and I didn't expect to get OLED quality for £389. There are different picture settings to choose from but I would advise in my opinion to go into the picture settings and tweak them they get the right colour brightness and contrast etc to your personal taste. Full HD is excellent quality and 4K HDR+10 and Dolby vision can be outstanding👍 if you got the right picture settings and as I said just play around a bit with the settings and if you're using a fire stick or similar make sure you set the HDMI input to the enhanced mode in the settings and this will up scale the picture quality. There is a small amount of screen bleed around some parts of the edges in dark scenes but this is to be expected at this price point for this type of TV but hopefully that will settle down in time. Yes overall I would recommend this tv for the price but invest in a sound bar even a cheap basic one would be a lot better than the internal speakers and I'm not exaggerating 👎😄. UPDATE 18/07/25. I've received an software update and now the freely is working fine.👌

An excellent TV for the price!
Our old Hisense TV in the bedroom, decided to hand its cap in after 8+ years faithful service. We have found this 43" TV to be an excellent replacement. We were immediately amazed by the quality of the display - every bit as good as our new £600+ TV in the lounge! Our terrestrial TV antenna and BT FTTP Internet both terminate in the main bedroom which, therefore, is where we have sited our EE Hub and EE TV boxes. As such, a Freely TV made sense. It's not an essential but does, to a degree, future-proof us. If you have owned a Hisense TV before, setup is straightforward if a tad tedious. This TV uses the latest VIDAA OS 7.6. The biggest change is with some of the menus (eg. "Inputs") moving from the top of the display to its LHS. I connected to our home LAN (rather than WiFi) and plugged in the aerial connector. As such, after scanning, the EPG seamlessly shows all channels - both terrestrial and Internet. As more channels move to the Internet, the TV will (reportedly) automatically update the source and EPG accordingly. However, channel numbering is a tad odd! Sound quality is not overwhelming but is adequate. I have connected a Sharp sound bar (via HDMI3) which greatly improves matters. Using HDMI3 means the sound bar is seen as a CEC device so, its volume and power are automatically managed by the TV remote. Our EE TV box uses HDMI1 and our Roku box HDMI2 (which it shares with our Panasonic BluRay player via an HDMI switch). I did get confused connecting the sound bar which initially refused to work. I had plugged the device into HDMI1 (as per our old Hisense TV). When I realised HDMI3 was used for CEC devices on this TV, everything worked as I wanted! A real case of RTFM..... A couple of other points to note:- - There are only 3 HDMI sockets. 4+ would have been nice. - While the EPG has a full channel list, it does not have the features of Freeview Play+ (eg. +/- 7 days programme information). - VIDAA is a closed system with a limited number of Apps. However, it does include the important BBC, ITV, C5, C5, NOW, and U TV players etc. - Alas, the VIDAA version of the PLEX App has a number of long standing and annoying bugs. - As such, we tend to NOT use VIDAA Apps (except for Freely) as we have a Roku 4K box. This covers all our App needs (and includes a much better version of PLEX). - We use a wall mount for the TV. However, if you want to use the feet provided in the box, note that they are a fixed distance apart (~76cm). That said, the above are minor concerns and, given the fantastic price, do not detract from our 5-star rating. Indeed, we are distinctly chuffed 😀 😄 😁 Quick delivery was also appreciated. A final note - with 4 devices, we have the hindrance of 4 remote controls. As such, I also purchased an "All for One" URC-3661 remote control. This has proved to be convenient for controlling all 4 devices (this TV, EE TV box, Roku Box and Panasonic BluRay). I will review that separately.

Great t.v and great value.
Purchased this after owning the 2020 model till now and wanting the upgrades this one now has and i have to say, i love it. The first one that was sent i did have to return as it was clearly faulty, but the second one is how it should be and took less than 15 minutes to setup. Compared to the 2020 model, this one has loads of extra stuff on it, including Alexa, which i use alot now. As always with a 4K t.v, picture quality is amazing once you get everything set to how you like it. Sadly, i do have to throw one negative into the review and that is the sound quality. The bass in the sound is virtually non existant and not as good as the 2020 model, but for general viewing, it`s ok and when i watch a movie or anything, i have it hooked up to my hi-fi system, but other than that, fantastic t.v and good value as well, highly recommended!

Shocking Customer Service from Hisense
Just some very interesting advice from the manufacturer after contacting them because the TV has developed a black spot on the screen the size of a coin. The TV is less than a year old and this is their response, without inspecting the TV in person, just a few photos and video I sent them. Dear Alberto, We have carefully reviewed your case once again. Please be advised, proof of purchase that you have provided to us is dated way back to 14 January 2025. If the TV was purchased month ago we will reconsider this as foreign material behind the matrix panel, otherwise this is considered by the warranty document as "Defect caused by the attack of the household pest", so this type of defect is not covered by manufacturer's warranty. Since the appliance was bought a more then half year ago, please understand that we can't accept this complaint as manufacturing defect. Please use this email as our final answer for this reclamation. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards, I guess I’m going to have a word with the “household pests”… unbelievable… I guess we will have to assume when you buy a Hisense product you be ready to buy a replacement within the year, shocking customer service. Or you could cellotape all around every ventilation hole on the TV and then when it overheats they won’t be able to claim the household pests have decided to move in inside your TV…

Hisense - it just makes sense ....
After a lot of consideration and research I opted to replace my 7yr old 50" hisense tv with this 58" and I am delighted with the choice. Firstly the reviews I read were mixed over the sound quality so I also got a soundbar which easily plugs into it. That said the sound quality of the tv itself is excellent, to my ears anyway. There are a load of settings and adjustments that can be made to not only the sound but the picture as well this quality of which is excellent. It comes pre loaded with the main apps, Prime, Netflix, Disney + and many more. It does take a wee while to gain familiarity with the functions but as l will reiterate we are delighted with it, from the price delivered of £350 to the ease of bunging a bracket on it and putting it on the wall. The 'old' tele is now in another room, still perfectly functional and lm hoping this one will have the same longevity.
