I have set these Betfenix fans to constantly run at around 70% as this seems like a good combination of acoustics and performance, at this speed they are definitely audible but not loud enough to be a pain, there is also no slight humming or buzzing noise like there was with the CM fans, the sound these Bitfenix fans emit is a very consistant whoosh of the air being blasted rather than anything from the fan itself, the fans feel powerful and they definitely and without a doubt blast alot more air than the CM fans ever did, even at 40% speed these Betfenix fans feel like 100% speed did on the CM fans - you can seriously feel the force. Included in the box with the fan are 4 normal screws, 4 long screws (which worked perfectly with my CoolerMaster H500 case), 4 silent rubber mounts if that's your thing (although I find them way too fiddly) and lastly 3-pin to 4-pin molex adapter, but please note if you use this adapter then the fan will run at a solid 100% with no way to control it and at 100% speed this fan like most fans will get relatively loud so it's best to connect the fan directly to your motherboard when possible. Lastly I wanted to note that the build quality of these fans is solid with a strong and thick matte plastic casing and thick chunky blades where as the CM MF200R fans have a more cheaper feeling glossy plastic casing which was probably contributing to the strange humming/buzzing noise I was getting from them. Overall these fans seem like an absolute gem for the price and are far better than some more expensive ones, I'd highly recommend them to anyone wanting really powerful airflow, not to mention simply good airflow with silence if you run them under 50% speed. Review: Strong yet quiet - Ordered two of these to mount at the top of my Corsair Carbide 300r case. Great looking fans. shame that they have the grill facing up instead of the logo side when using as an exhaust. From an appearance stand point, a shame because they look fantastic the other way around. They also move a lot of air and are pretty quiet at around 80% power. Anymore than that and they do start to become intrusive from a noise level point of view. They are chunky though. I couldn't get both fitted to the top of my case because of this fact. The one at the rear was no problem but towards the front, the fan housing was too thick to pass between the top of the case and optical drive bay housing. Possible the case was also to blame for this unfortunate problem. However, they are very thick in depth so be aware of this when ordering. I ended up using one as an intake fan on the front of the case instead. Overall a great fan.

moves a LOT of air
great product couple of niggles, to thread a screw in one of these the first time is a beastly task and it is stronger than your average screw so watch out for burring. second the chassis is strong but a little awkward. Good points: very quiet at low rpm stupidly good at cooling at mid rpm a little loud on full but if you need to cool something quickly this thing has that down in spades, just watch your fan ramping curves in your management software , at 70% plus power this is not a quiet fan

Works well unless you mount horizontally
I'm on my final replacement of this particular fan which is installed in a Corsair Obsidian 650D. The front intake fan is vertically mounted and so far (touch wood) appears to be working to spec and is running relatively quietly. The main issue is when the fan is mounted horizontally (in my rig it is an exhaust fan on the ceiling of my case) where after a short while a noticeable rubbing/chugging sound gradually becomes louder from the fan motor/bearing. Since this isn't the first one of this model that I've had do this, I advise those who are looking at these to avoid if you are mounting horizontally (which is a shame as they appear to shift a reasonable amount of air for the noise until this issue occurs). I am returning mine for a final time for a refund.

Nice fan, design has slight flaws.
I bought this for a new build, the fan is fine but when it's turned on the fan itself protrudes from it's housing slightly (so even when you check the fan spins freely, you may still have issues using it. If you're mounting it with the fan itself against the side of your case (as in not the guard at the back of the fan) it'll hit your case, so it'll either grind against it, or in my case - break several of the fan's blades. I purchased another one, and used rubber washers as spacers, it works well, and pumps alot of air.

The head drifts out away from the frame over time and can hit something and snap itself off
This fan started out great in the first 2 weeks as a case exhaust fan above the CPU and MB. Unknown to me, over that time the head slowly started to drift downwards away from the fan frame towards the heatsink on the MB, hitting it and snapping off a fin. So it's now unbalanced and useless after a short amount of time. The head drifting away from the fan case like this on case fans makes them useless for the job.

Quiet and powerful fan
I needed to install a powerful yet quiet fan to a case as an exhaust, having used the one installed in the case as a replacement for the noisy Corsair liquid cooler packaged one. I chose this as it has a high CFM with fans that are designed for this purpose, but of course I needed it to be very quiet, even at high speed. The fan feels very solid in the hand - not flimsy at all on the corners or indeed the fan blades. When installed this fan is considerably quieter than the Corsair one which sounds like your PC may actually take off at any given time and pushes a nice volume of air out the top of the case chassis. There may be better fans out there, such as an Enermax Vegas, but for the money and build, this is well worth the money.

Being used on my RV refrigerator vent (2 fans side by side) to help remove hot air thus improving refrigerator performance. Moves a lot of air and are extremely quiet. Fridge temp dropped 10 degrees.
