I got this hat specifically for the wide brim and back flap to protect against scorching Utah sun while we hiked through the National Parks. I love the pretty light blue color and the hat was perfect. The extra protection for my neck was just what I needed as we explored in the heat of early summer. It's easily packable and washes well too without losing it's shape. At home, it's my go-to gardening hat now. The wide brim keeps more sun off of my face than my older gardening hat. It's nice to have the neck strap to tighten in case of high winds, but I usually don't use that. It *did* get used a few times while hiking though and kept it from flying into a canyon.

Haven't gotten to wear it out fishing yet due to weather but first impressions it seems very well made, and doesnt feel cheap, so I will order more when this one wears out! I tried it on and wore for a bit outside it does it's job blocking the sun and is comfortable and doesn't get to hot, its worth the price of it!

Went on Vacation to Vietnam and It was a hot one. This hat saved me from the sun and not getting a neck sunburn. it is very light and you can basically roll it up and stuff in in your backpack when you don't need it. When I got back home I tossed it in the wash with the rest of my clothes and it came out fine. Great product for travel. it held it's shape pretty good even when I rolled it up and stuffed it away, it just unrolled and looked fine. The draw string adjustability works great. I didn't use it while walking but On a bike or scooter I sinched it down.

Great hat for referees/umpires. Good protection, soft, and comfortable. Did a very good job of preventing sun burn.

Amazing, gives you shade and is extremely breathable

This hat had potential to be a nice hat at a good price however they ruined it in the packaging. The package that they put it in is too small for the hat to sit flat so they fold it in half. A large brim like this that is given a crease where you fold it in half and then leave it there for I don't know how long it's going to deform the hat and it's never going to sit right. How the heck a hat manufacturer wouldn't know that this is going to happen is beyond me I'm just perplexed. Perhaps the person that's supposed to package it wasn't trained correctly? Perhaps the box that they're using this flat not the right width and length box it's just not going to work for this application? I don't know all I know is that I'm very disappointed that just because they don't know how to package there item I get to wear a deformed hat. I probably won't wear it I'll be conscientious of it it won't sit right if a wind comes it's going to bend there still get why they would do that. This hat had such potential.
