Broken in a package
Nice looking but ordered in July and put away till September 20th my sons birthday. When we opened it the arm was broken. Window to replace closed we are very unhappy and my son is crushed. No way of knowing it was broken till we got it out of the package.

Smaller Knock-Off of Neca's 18" Deadpool
Not a bad figure overall. Nice detail, decent paint and articulation. Plenty of accessories. This is basically an 8" knock off of Neca's 18" Deadpool figure. The plastic used for the figure is a tiny bit rubbery, but not terrible by any means. Is it worth the money? In my opinion yes.

A counterfeit Wade that's almost great.
The media could not be loaded. To the degree that Dadpool is perhaps the ultimate rebel against the corporate establishment, it's only appropriate that this figurine is clearly an unlicensed product. But even though it's skin deep efforts to appear legit fall flat, the production value doesn't. The overall sculpt is expertly done, boasting proportions and details that defy its price point. The paint job is excellent, the materials are flexible enough to keep joints from breaking as soon as you try to fashion a pose, and his signature armaments all have a place to live in some sort of holster, sheath, or scabbard.Really, this figurine only has one weakness that I can point to: he's too top heavy. This isn't to say that he looks like he's been skipping leg day, but with a large mass of plastic and a high center of gravity, a lot of responsibility gets forced upon on the ankles to ensure he's a functional biped. Unfortunately, his ankle joints have neither of the range of motion or rigidity to keep our hero upright on his own, except for in a limited range of less-than-dynamic poses. The answer is most likely going to be to peg his foot/feet down to some sort of base to keep him from falling over. But even then, the ankle joints are going to be the bottleneck for DP's ability to express himself through body movement.Overall, though, if your collection of conservatively posed superheroes lack the kind of elegance and dignity that only Wade Wilson can bestow upon your desk or nerd shelf, this is a great way to fill that hole.

Not Bad. . . . .
It just amazes me how far toys have come since I grew up in the 60's. I think my fascination with action figures in particular has to do with how limited my own access to them was, and how primitive they were compared to what's out today. My current assortment of Batman and Planet of the Apes figures make poor old G.I. Joe look pretty shabby. . . .So now that I've established that I am a great big kid. . . . .This Deadpool figure looks like a hybrid- sort of has those "authentic" and "authorized" qualities, but with a "bootleg" or a "knock-off" feel, somehow. Certainly the under-$50 price is a giveaway. A real, authorized toy with this many accessories should be over $100. And the box art also raises some questions, with its "squashed" graphics. My guess is that this was a rejected version of what will later be an official issue. If I had to guess about why it was rejected I would say it probably has something to do with the appearance of the figure's "private" region, which on the box is somehow. . . .oh, what is the word. . . .unusually pronounced. Also, with all the little pieces that detach, like those little grenades or whatever on the utility belt, this can't be designed for child's play due to the choking hazard.I agree with the other reviewers who have mentioned that the pieces don't stay snapped on, that there are mobility issues, and my personal unit doesn't want to stand upright without leaning on something for support. I REALLY had to tug to get the hand to come loose, and if I have to do that more than a few times I am sure it will harm the joints to the point where they don't stay in at all.And yet. . . .having said all this, it is still a really cool action figure. Although, based on the quality problems, I am not encouraged to investigate other editions of this collection, I do appreciate how much detail and versatility is built in to this rather sophisticated and very fun "adult toy."Update- I got Mr. Deadpool all loaded up with his weaponry and after much patient manipulating, he is standing on his own without external support (see image.) It wasn't easy, and I don't know how long he will remain upright. But for now he's cooperating. And isn't he fine . . . .!
