A low profile stand that still makes a big statement
I was between this and the older design and ended up getting both, one for the office and one for home. The newer design is perfect for a minimalist setup, and the black arch design looks great against a a variety of color and material finishes. The one negative I would say is it is NOT as stable as the prior design when it comes to the MBA, but not in any deal breaking way, just something to be aware of when determining which model is best.

Laptop must be placed at perfect 90 degrees to table or it will topple.
I like the finish, and the concept of its design. And that is where it receives one star and also where the praise stops. The stand has two critical flaws: The first is if the laptop (I have a 16” MacBook Pro) is not placed perfectly balanced it will topple. The cradle that bears the weight actually moves with the two arcs AND it doesn’t have any guides to position the computer AND the non-slip material doesn’t grip the laptop so it has to be placed correctly otherwise it falls. Now, I could chalk this up being sloppy as a user, but I think a level of confidence should be offered from the designer, as well. The second flaw is that it has very small cushions on the cradle and on the two arms. If the stand had a more confident stance then this would be a nice feature. But, because it topples easily when falling it gives way to metal on metal contact. I just spent a lot of money on my shiny new black MacBook. Dang if I wouldn’t be cussing a blue streak it the stand scratched or marred the shell. Not cool. Just to be sure I did use the stand last night. And, it held the laptop vertically with no drama. But it is a tenuous balance. I have cats, so if even of their tails hit the Mac over it will go.

Careful with Larger MacBooks and Location...
A nice looking stand for a MacBook, but be careful with size and location. I have only used it with a MacBook Pro 16” and found it is very unsteady with that large laptop. The stand is too light for the relatively top-heavy laptop such that seemingly the slightest motion can cause it to tumble. I compounded the problem by placing it on a cabinet with a drawer and when opening or closing the drawer the motion is enough to trigger the tumble. I have not tried it with a small MacBook, but assume it would be more stable. Even then I highly recommend only using this on a very stable platform.

classy and cool
Having my MacBook in clamshell mode behind my 2 monitors was the best decision I've made - and it looks classy and cool

Unstable and loose, albeit elegant
I have had this in use for a month. It looks grea,t and is an elegant design. Unfortunately, it just isn’t stable with my 2023 16" MacBook Pro. The computer tilts randomly forward or back very easily, and every few days it just FALLS OVER. At that point I don’t care how lovely it looks or elegant the design seems: it does not work.

Great stand for MBP 16
Works great but it would be nice to get stickier where touches the laptop to keep it static and not easily fall sideway.

MacBook Air falls right over
I bought the arc book flex and my MacBook Air falls right over. The sides don't close against the laptop. Same thing happens with wife's MacBook Pro. They are not heavy enough to close the arc book. Complete garbage.

This thing is so bad I don’t know how they can sell it with a straight face. Great concept with absolutely terrible execution. It’s like they never tested it. They just built it and then had to ship it since they had inventory. To try to use it you have to place your laptop EXACTLY in the right place for it to even kind of hold it correctly but even then if you accidentally sneeze in its general direction it’s going to be knocked over. If you have a cat or kids forget it unless you want to replace your expensive laptop when they brush against your desk and thus thing drops the laptop onto the floor. imo this company made one good product years ago and has been churning out junk and living on their name ever since. It’s very disappointing.

I bought this to keep my laptop cool and it is brilliant for that as it is not just lifted above the desk like a lot of other solutions that I have tried. But it looks fantastic and makes more space on the desk. I am so pleased with it. This stand is brilliant.

Saves space but requires the Macbook etc. to be balanced perfectly upright or risk toppling over.
