This works wonders.
Highly recommend for people who have Invisalign or anything similar. This does seem to kill bacteria, because after using it my retainers no longer have any icky taste or smell. Some people complain about the limited life, but nothing lasts forever, and if it works (which it does, in my opinion), then it's worth it.

Avoid. Does not recharge.
Does not recharge and eventually quits working. I've ordered two different units and they both had the same issue where they quit working within the first couple of months.

Works well, I bought this for when I travel. I used it on 2 separate trips and love it. My retainers stay fresh.

Keeping trays clean since day 1
I ordered this before my treatments started and I use it everytime I take out my aligners. This is a must have to sanitize when not in mouth, and I highly recommend using the cleaning crystals each morning. These two things have kept my trays sparking clean and smelling fresh!

Stopped working less than 3 months after purchase.
I liked everything about this cleansing case - until it stopped working entirely, about 2.5 months after purchase. There must be some manufacturing quality issue, I did not mistreat it in any way. This lifespan makes it not only expensive, but an environmental hazard, to toss all of these materials and all of the energy it took to manufacture, every few months is not reasonable. I was very surprised because I had a lot of trust in the invisalign name at the time I bought it.

Great, for a while
Worked great for about 6 months and then just stopped. Never dropped, never put in water or damaged in any way. It just stopped.

Cleaning on the go
The case is a small form factor and using it instead of dissolving tablets in water in hotel rooms is so much easier. I wish it had a real plug or batteries, though. Why is everything today charged via USB? Now I need a cable for everything.

Broke after 6 months of use.
The whole UV thing to keep the aligners (retainers in my case) cleaner and also my teeth healthier is real. This product, is crap. Battery life was long, in all this time, I had to charge it like 2 times. Then a weird orange warning, now not responsive to button press or charger.
