I do not have any complaints about this product. It was sent quickly, packaged well, and contained correct amount, 1/2 lb. I am using a candle warmer with the crystals mixed with water and oil. The oil keeps the water from dissipating while the crystals are heated. The most common use of the menthol is to open up the sinuses, but I purchased it after I read that it helps keeps bugs away. I would purchase from this seller again, as the price of the product for the amount received was comparable (if not better) than other sellers.

Great for balms, grinds up in a mortar and pestle without trouble. If you're storing with other things, though, make sure you double or triple bag it, or you'll end up with a month's supply of menthol flavored Soylent like me.

We make our own home-made salves and creams, these menthol crystals work perfectly. It helps to heat the oil first, before adding a few crystals and bee pollen along with some essential oils. At times we leave out the bee pollen for a menthol oil rub. Peppermint and menthol go very well together for soothing foot rub. Always use a good quality carrier oil.

I HAVE USED THESE FOR YEARS TO MAKE MY ICE COLD ATOMIC SUMMER VERSION OF BATH SOAP. I DISOLVE ABOUT 3-5 TABLESPOONS IN 1-3 OZ WATER IN MICROWAVE AND MIX INTO 3 LBS OF MELTED SOAP BASE. I USE IT IN PANTENE HAIR CONDITIONER, 2 TABLESPOONS 1OZ WATER DISSOLVE IN MICROWAVE......SHAKE HARD AND WELL FOR 1 MIN. COOLS THE SCALP AND PREVENTS SKIN BREAKOUTS IN PHOENIX,AZ. HAVE TAKEN A CLEAN EMPTY YOGURT CUP(DANNON) MELTED A 1/2 TSP IN 4 OZ WATER AND INHALED FOR SINUS COLD. CAREFULL STRONG VAPOR.

If I had wanted granular menthol I would have picked some up at the local chemical supply house. I order this product from Amazon.com because it was advertised as menthol CRYSTALS. These are anything but CRYSTALS unless you consider a product with the consistency of granulated sugar or table salt to be crystals. Very disappointed and certainly not worth what I paid.

I took about two weeks to receive the product and I was surprised of the small quantity I received for the price. The quality of the product is ok, but VERY EXPENSIVE.

4 stars because the smell is a little too medicinal compared to what I am substituting it for (peppermint oil). I add this to oil and then add to hair conditioners because I love the tingle of peppermint oil (my favorite conditioners do not have the scalp stimulation power I desire). Search around peppermint oil is very expensive. These menthol crystals are a good inexpensive option for my uses.
