The mount itself is pretty solid... The metal is heavy, and the nuts can be tightened down to make it easier or harder to move. I know you're supposed to mount it so it extends horizontally, which offers the most stability and strength, but I did it vertically because I wanted to be able to lie in bed and pull it down so I can put my phone in there and have like a little TV. Putting an actual TV in the room isn't feasible, and when I had one before, I had to prop myself up so I can see the wall. This lets me just lie naturally and look up at the screen. However! The mounting hardware it came with was horrible. The screws did not engage with the anchors until well past halfway, and the anchors themselves don't really expand to secure the mount. It was so wobbly. I had to go to Home Depot and buy actual drywall anchors and screws to properly secure it. Then it worked very well. If you are installing in a harder material, like wood, or maybe brick, then this might not be something you have to worry about. But I still feel the manual should recommend what drill bit size to use. I had to start on the small side and just keep working my way up until it went in, but then I didn't know if the hole was TOO big. Anyways, after my cat stopped being terrified of it, I think that it's pretty cool. It can also hold my kindle, if I wanted to read instead. Then just push it up out of the way. Overall, now that it's done I'm pretty happy with it.

Great value. Ended a simple swing out mount. Mounted to a side wall in tiki bar. Have an old iPad with music, home automation etc where now I can sit and control music/lights. Like it that it swings out and better yet collapses when done. Just had to tighten the swivel after a few days. Great value. Performs well. All good. And no, I won’t give wife pass code to iPad. I’m in control.

This worked out perfectly for making my tablet a second monitor. It can also be used for some decent cable management. It's solid and sturdy, easy to use and fits well. Good value and design for the price
