I bought this one because I had install Rocky Linux on my mid-2012 macbook (because No more apple update) , after the installation I could not get wifi. Since I bought this guy, I connect to wifi without installing other drivers.

True plug-and-play for 10-year old Dell Latitude E5540 laptop running Windows 10. Seamless install, gave me access to two different WPA3 networks that the builtin Intel AC1760 (?) card did not. 47 Mbps down and 26 Mbps up speed test through an asymmetric 1 Gbps (down) ISP connection. Range was good but did not explicitly test it. Longevity? Durability? Who knows. It got me out of a jam on a trip, arrived next day, and worked off the bat.

Works really good just plug and play... Works with Linux. I'm using MX Linux.. Plugs in scan for wifi connection and put password in ...that simple. I was online in less than a minute after it arrived....just plug it into your USB port

has great compatibility with a variety of Linux distros. not that great on Windows, tho.

I bought this for my 3d printer whose built-in wifi just died one day. It's running Klipper (OpenNeptu4ne on an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus) and the Armbian operating system detected it beautifully, even running on a usb hub. I've also tested it on a desktop and an old Macbook Air, both running Ubuntu 25.10 and it played very nicely.
