High Visibility Easy Grab Float Coat Life Jacket, Medium, Orange

Great product works really well keeping our dog afloat and pulling him out of the water but this is the second one we have bought because the first size was a medium and a tad too small. We have a springer spaniel who is only 10 month old so bought medium thinking that would be perfect but it was a tight fit so have just purchased the large. There is an adjustable velcro strap under the belly that can adjust so fits perfectly with plenty of room as he grows now.

Got the small based on a previous review for my 10kg cockapoo, but she must be fitter as her chest was too big to fit in the small. Had to upgrade to the medium. It's not perfect around under the chin, but it fits beautifully every where else and we went to the beach at the weekend. She fell off the paddle board and it did an excellent job of keeping her well out of the water but not too far out so as to be unstable. She's learning to swim nicely and loves her new jacket. Perfect. Small only seems to have 1 grab handle. Medium has 2, the photos don't show this.

"Why buy a life jacket for a dog?!", people scoffed. Here's why... My little cockerpoo girl weighs about 8.5kg. She just LOVES being in the water, and is a super swimmer. When kayaking with her, she quite often takes herself off for a plunge by jumping overboard, though. Although she's happy paddling next to the boat, it's a devil to get her back aboard again. Or at least it was! The K9 Pursuits buoyancy aid feels well manufactured. One of the most useful features is the grab handle on the back, allowing you to comfortably hoist your furry friend with ease. That's brilliant when it comes to assisting in getting them back into a kayak when they've been for a swim! The pair of midriff buckled straps fit over the fabric to maintain comfort and also to help distribute weight when lifting them by the handle. She's quite unperturbed by the process! The straps allow for a good degree of adjustment, and despite other reviews mentioning the small sizing, a Small jacket was more than roomy enough for a cockerpoo. The bright colour and reflective detailing make it easy to keep an eye on your dog when swimming, even in fading light. The level of buoyancy in the jacket - and its positioning on the dog's back - helps maintain a natural swimming posture without constricting movement. The only bit that doesn't work so well is the piece fitting under the chin, because the Velcro fasteners aren't quite in the right place for comfortable closure. Although there's a neck strap to secure it, this part of the jacket ends up looking a bit like a comedic bow tie on my dog. Cute, though! Great fur but I have a working retriever and measurements suggested L but L too small around the belly as Velcro only just met & she is only 25kg. Go a size larger in my opinion as the XL fits perfectly

So glad I got these! Sizing fits as explained spot on, lots of straps to adjust so can wiggle to fit easily and comfortably. We got the same size for our two cocker spaniels, one a fair bit bigger than the other, and had no issues adjusting to fit. On first use, we took them on holiday and rented a boat, so popped these on - good job we did as one of our dogs decided to randomly jump overboard for a cheeky swim! She stuck out like a sore thumb thanks to the vibrant colour in the water so can confirm the visibility is very good, and she floated like a buoy! So absolutely does the trick. Circled back and picked her up in no time. It could’ve been a very different story without this jacket so I’m more than delighted we got them. The handles meant it was very easy to pick her up out the water and plonk her back in the boat. She’s relatively small (cocker spaniel) however as there are two handles, I imagine this would be easy even with a larger dog to bear the weight. We take them on every holiday where open water is involved now! Madam jumper mentioned in the attached video, with a planned jump in this time! We’ve had them for a few years with no issues whatsoever, they are a brilliant and crucial piece of kit.

Overall I love this. It feels well made and should last quite a while. However, I have a 15kg cocker who's chest measures 63cm. This was supposed to fit up to 68 but doesn't go anywhere near. I couldn't even fasten the velcro although the straps are fine. I can't get the bigger size as the neck would be far too large so I've stitched another piece of velcro onto the chest fastening. Now it fits perfectly.

Lots to choose from but this one caught my eye with it having two handles and my dog being a bigger dog. Delivered quickly. Fitted my dog very well. Easy to pick her up out of the water with the two handles and onto the paddleboard without any issues. She didn’t struggle to swim whilst wearing it either. Dried quickly after use. Great for peace of mind.
