FARBERWARE Build-A-Board Acacia Cutting Board with Built-in Storage Compartments, Clear Locking Lid & White Handles, Great for Charcuterie & Snacks

I bought this so I can make the charcuterie tray early and send it home with a family member after. I try not to have too many things like this on hand, you know, that require dedicated storage space and don't get used that often, but I decided this year I'd treat myself to fix those two issues. The big sticker on the bottom did indeed leave a sticky residue, after pulling off easily. It was stupid hard to remove. I finally used mineral oil, let it sit a while, then scrubbed with a 0000 steel wool, the sticky turned grey, then used the wool + detergent (Sal's) and hot water to scrub it all off. I got the single compartment bamboo so I wasn't limited by the given compartments, meant to get the acacia but whatever. Anyway, it looks nice, a standard bamboo tray, but has finished edges and a nice smoothness to it. It's the definition of a neutral serving piece, perfect for what it is. The lid is hard plastic, thicker than I expected but not too thick. Handles seem durable and effective, I didn't want one with a handle on the top to carry it, because those snap and then your food is everywhere. Annoyed I can't just buy a second one of these! The lid is usually the first thing to go, it cracks or snaps, but I'd have spent this much on one without a lid and probably gotten a less nicely finished one, so I'm happy with it. I would feel confident giving this as a gift to someone who could use it and has the space, or with a charcuterie book as a neutral party gift. It came packaged securely in a brown box without any branding, but it had branding pieces inside. Btw: Farberware went out of business decades ago, is now a "licensing" company that rents the Farberware name out to other businesses. So no reason to gamble on this one with the sticky bottom if you'd rather gamble on a no-name, it's all the same stuff. Good luck!

Great charcuterie board! Made very well thick wood with great lid cover that snaps into place. This is very useful transporting food with lip on board and cover.

Great quality board for entertaining. The capacity of it is good, could be bigger but great purchase. It’s light weight, easy to clean. Good price for it.

The board I received today was a replacement for the original board I received with a cracked lid. Now one of the handles is broken 😞 I need the board for a party tonight, so I guess I’ll live with it. Otherwise I’m happy with the space and the overall look.

Got this last minute for my daughter who used it to create a pizza board for Friendsgiving. Easy to store and doesn’t take up too much space. It’s currently on top of the fridge with some aluminum pans. Bamboo board made the cutting nice and neat and didn’t leave behind. Nice and medium weight for transport plus the cover keeps it secure so nothing is sliding around. Definitely worth the money!

I ordered this because I like the convenience of being able to travel with it since it has a lid or being able to keep it in the fridge until ready to serve. I used it to make a simple cheese board for Thanksgiving. It worked perfectly, looks nice and feels sturdy. Nice quality.

I washed and dried these as directed. I used them for a total of 2 days. I washed and dried these once they arrived, lined them with cut-to-size parchment paper to protect the bamboo from the foods being served (one fruit tray, one vegetable tray, and two sandwich trays). The trays that served the sandwiches fared better than the other two trays. 3 of the 4 trays I purchased warped after being used for food into a U-shape, as seen in attached video, they shouldn't be able to wobble when placed face down. I was wary of buying these because bamboo is notorious for molding when left with even the slightest bit of moisture. I was right to be wary, the fruit tray grew mold against the bamboo base where the parchment paper stopped and was able to touch the bamboo directly. Again, the fruit was on the tray from a Saturday morning to a Sunday evening in refrigeration, when not in refrigeration for 2 hours it had a glass dish serving dip as a cold sink to keep the food cool. I stacked these items in order to take them to their destination, and to store them in my fridge. The bamboo base scratched the plastic lid and is visibly duller after one use. I wanted to invest in these for multiple parties over many years, not throw them away. Offer a better quality product and I will gladly purchase this design again. It was beautiful and convenient, but the quality of the board was not there, and the plastic was extremely flimsy, I felt like I was going to break it by simple leverage when wiping it. I had to place it face-down in the sink to wash it because it could not withstand the *gentle* force of me rubbing it with a glass brush to clean it, which added to more scratching on the surface. I would buy again if it were a thicker plastic or glass top, and a more sanitary & waterproof board.

I love this tray/charcuterie board. The lid locks, fits in the fridge, easy transportation and great for parties! I would purchase more of these and recommend to anyone. Excellent size and helps keep on a $30 dollar charcuterie board.

Excellent, very versatile and perfect for taking to potlucks and girls nights. This board has an Acacia wood base and a plastic top that clicks in place. We've taken it to many potlucks and girls nights and always get compliments. It's also very easy to clean!

Great size for gatherings of 5-10 people

Practical. Well made. Perfect for outside at home in the summer and even better when travelling to someone’s and taking an offering.
