Picking out a bat online as a gift from someone who doesn’t know much about softball for someone who does was a challenge given there were so many different types to choose from. Reviews left by others was the most help (thank you!!!), as well as the product description (very helpful), & some team advice (too many opinions -yikes). The bat was a gift for a men’s adult slow-pitch softball team. They said the bat was perfect! It’s in use again tonight & is being used a lot - so they must really like it. Arrived exactly as described and without issue. Thanks!

Great lightweight softball bat for slow pitch.

I’ve used the Easton Rebel 12″ Slowpitch bat for a few summer-league games, and it performs reliably for what it is. The bat swings smoothly and isn’t too heavy — the ALX alloy barrel gives a comfortable balance that makes it easy to generate bat speed without sacrificing control. Contact results are generally good: when you hit the ball in the sweet spot, you get decent pop and enough distance that a few fly balls even cleared the fence. The grip stays secure — even when my hands got sweaty — and the thin handle + cushioned grip make swings feel natural and stable. On the downside, the sweet spot isn’t very forgiving compared to high-end composite bats: mis-hits sometimes feel “dead,” and off-center hits lose a noticeable amount of power and distance. Also, a few users report cosmetic wear or even bending after moderate use — nothing structural in most cases, but might bother players who want long-term durability. Bottom line: Great as a budget-friendly bat for recreational or mid-level competitive slowpitch leagues — especially if you value balance, ease of swing, and league-approved certification. It’s not the most forgiving or powerful bat out there, but for the price, it gets the job done reliably.

The bat started to warp after just a few games. It was only used by 3 people each game, who were up to bat around 2 or 3 times each. I expected the bat to at least last the season, but it didn't.
