The music on this album, recorded in April 1953, marks the definitive moment in Frank Sinatra s comeback after his career appeared to have come to a close in 1952. This was an extremely difficult period for the singer, both personally and professionally. Musical tastes had changed, rock & roll was emerging and many felt that Sinatra had become passé, a product of an earlier period with nothing more to contribute to popular music. However, ending a longtime musical relationship with Axel Stordahl who was responsible for most of his previous orchestrations Frank chose to try his luck with another celebrated composer and arranger: Nelson Riddle. This proved a wise decision as Riddle s arrangements, heard on the present release and on multiple others, gave the singer s music a more modern approach. This is only a 10" record.
Beware this is only a 10" album with just 8 tracks. I must admit when I ordered I thought to myself why the low price. Was minded to return it. However having played it the pressing is extremely good on a quiet surface. The sticker on the cellophane wrapping says download voucher included. This is missing. Not a not a great problem as the album with all 12 tracks can be downloaded onto Amazon Player if you are a prime member.Every track on the vinyl record is good and features Sinatra with Nelson Riddle on his second album for Capital. It will be extremely difficult to source a 12" version .The only version I am aware of is the Mobile Fidelity record that was issued with their 1983 Sinatra Boxset but this was never available seperately. This had Swing Easy with the same 8 tracks on the A side and Songs For Young Lovers on the other.No one in their right mind is going to split the set which is a definite collectors item and in good condition worth several hundred pounds.Amazon should clearly indicate this is a 10" disc which is not everyone cup of tea as they can be somewhat difficult to remove from the turntable.

Lovely music, sloppy work by the label
As the other reviewer said, there is no voucher code, despite the sticker saying there is. Musically, however, this is Sinatra and Riddle at their early best. It gets better, but not by a lot

Molto bello, solitamente preferisco il jazz suonato, ma Frank è Frank, a quanto ne so è uno degli albm più belli e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Insolito il formato 10 pollici, che non conoscevo.
