Build up to the French Revolution
The illustration is absolutely beautiful! All I can hope is that Dark Horse makes Innocent Rouge into an omnibus. I need to know how the story ends!!!!!

Peerless Masterwork
Shin'ichi Sakamoto’s Innocent volume 3 continues to captivate with its breathtaking art and deeply layered storytelling. This third and final volume plunges readers deeper into the morally complex world of Charles-Henri Sanson, the royal executioner of 18th-century France, as he grapples with duty, identity, and an unforgiving society on the brink of revolution. Sakamoto masterfully contrasts brutal historical realities with moments of unexpected tenderness and introspection. The tension between Charles-Henri and his sister, Marie-Joseph, escalates in a way that’s both heart-wrenching and thought-provoking, shedding light on themes of justice, rebellion, and personal freedom. Visually, the artwork is stunning: each panel is meticulously detailed, evoking the grandeur and grimness of pre-revolutionary France. From elaborate court attire to the stark horror of execution scenes, the illustrations are as expressive as they are technically masterful. Truly an amazing way to cap off the series.

Another darkhouse problem
Bought this excited to complete the series yet disappointing that the pages are misaligned. This will be the last darkhorse manga I will buy unless I have to.

Every copy comes damaged
one of the best manga of all time right here, for some reason amazon delivery handles manga as if it were garbage, so your product WILL COME DAMAGED. I had to order this three times just to get a 8/10 quality copy
