Overdrive pedal - Don't be a gear snob; give it a try!
Unless you're looking for a signature pedal sound, this is a solid, cost-effective option. It has a great sound (imho), is sturdy, and has a lot of options for a 35$ no-name pedal. I play a lot of classic/roots rock on a semi-hollow Gretsch and like to add just a touch of growl. This pedal fits the bill. You may have a different opinion. But for the price, it's definitely worth a try. Hell, you can always return it.

Sounds wonderful, works like a charm
Sounds beautiful in either mode. Excellent chorus for this price-point.

What A Great Little Chorus!
I own chorus pedals from Danelectro (okay, yeah, that’s my number one), Boss, and Nu-X, but I really like this pedal. Lots of subtlety, no noise, ease of use, excellent quality for the price. If you’re looking for a lower price pedal that will deliver first class effects, I recommend this highly. My only complaint - and it’s not much - is the lack of cutoff filters. But for the price, it can’t be beat.

yes definitely
this pedal sounds dope for its price I was surprised how good it is. Been having fun with it I use it to either add a great warm distortion sound that you don’t get with overdrive pedal. It also gives a good boost and widens the sound with the fuzz turned down. and it’s pink so yeah, it’s pretty great.

Sleeper Pedal!!
Tried one of these at a buddy’s house after going through a bunch of boutique pedals. Didn’t expect to like this thing as much as I did, but I kept going back to it. Punches way above its weight and very inspiring to play. More versatile than expected in the quality seems very solid. Instantly added this to my board!

Blown Away
Five Stars for the pedal itself, and five stars for the concept of a Rat pedal. It’s well built—just like all of the other Joyo pedals I own. I don’t foresee any problems with it. All the knobs and buttons and switches function. There is no noise or hiss (other than what is to be expected when the gain is cranked up). Definitely worth the money. I don’t know that it will last for decades like some of the gnarly, beat-up rat pedals that dad rockers have been stomping on since the 90s. But I’m not buying pedals for my kids’ inheritance. As long as I can get a couple good years out of it, I’m happy. For a while I have been stacking overdrives to get a heavy distortion sound. I put off buying a rat (or this Splinter) because I figured it would be redundant and not offer anything I couldn't already dial in by stacking my Klon clone, tube creamer, and/or Timmy clone. I was wrong. Those sounds are all great and useful, but with just one click and no stacking, I get that raw, aggressive tone I have been hunting for. With the distortion low, it sounds a lot like my Klon. A few turn of the knobs and I can go from tight hair metal to chuggy doom metal to fuzzy grunge. It’s fantastic. I’ll still play around with stacking, but it’s nice to finally have a one-and-done pedal that gives me the exact sounds I want.

No nuance. At all.
TL;DR -Great sounding ambient tones -But it's just too much; it lacks versatility with other modes like spring and plate -Instructions are very lacking ATTACHED PHOTO -An image of the instruction manual THE REVIEW This is not a bad pedal for ambient sounds, which is what I bought it for. However, it would also be nice if the other traditional reverbs were usable. They are not ... at least for me. Here are my issues with the pedal ... IT LACKS NUANCE -With the decay and mix turned as low as they will go, the echo continues on for a few seconds. It's just too much, even on settings such as room or spring. There are sometimes when you just want about a second or less of reverb, and with this pedal, it's extremely difficult to dial in these settings. Unless I have a broken pedal, when I turn the mix and decay down to 0, there is no reverb at all, and you have to turn it up about 10 percent before you finally start hearing reverb. The problem is, by this point, you're already pretty heavy into the mix. There's just no subtlety or nuance. INSTRUCTIONS (or lack thereof) -This device is not intuitive. The default behavior of this pedal is to save the last setting you used on each mode. For example, if you use shimmer with the mix and decay turned up, then switch to room and turn down those settings, the pedal will remember your last settings and use those -- even though the knobs will show that you have these settings turned down. And I get that this feature may be useful in certain situations, but it's certainly not useful all the time. Another issue with this is that as soon as you move any knob after swapping modes, the lights will annoyingly flash quickly, and can only be stopped by long-pressing on the right pedal. There is a manual, but it's only 2 pages and while it lists features, it doesn't show how to use those. It lists features like trail mode on/off, preset mode, etc., but it's trial and error to figure out, and as I mentioned earlier, this is not an intuitive pedal, and I've owned over 200 different pedals, so I'm not a novice. It would be nice if I could turn off the memory feature. It can sometimes be confusing to look at the knobs in one position but to hear something entirely different. OHTER ISSUES -I'm also encountering an intermittent issue where the pedal will power up and immediately power back down. I sometimes have to plug it out and back in several times, but so far -- knock on wood -- it has always come on eventually. -Like with other Joyo pedals, it's very difficult to read the text on the pedals in certain lighting. I also own the Joyo Vision and it's the same way. And now, for the positive. ... AMBIENT REVERBS ARE NICE -I'm not a huge fan of the shimmer on this one. It has a very synthetic sound and is a bit harsh, even with the highs turned down. It's not bad, but I much prefer the shimmer on my RV-6 and my Polara. However, I do like the Reverse and Dream modes. The plate reverb is nice, though I do wish it were a little more subtle on the lower settings. Some of these modes just tend to slap you in the face with reverb. OTHER COOL STUFF -Another nice thing is that you are able to turn the mix up all the way so that your initial guitar sound is muted and all you hear is the effect. This is great for ambient swells. -I also like the looks of the pedal and the lights in front and back. They give it a nice, modern look, and if you like LEDs -- like I do -- it's a nice aesthetic touch. FOUR-STARS INSTEAS OF THREE? Overall, I struggled with the star rating on this. If all you want is an ambient reverb that whacks you over the head with those sounds, then consider this a four-star pedal However, if, like me, you are looking for something a bit more versatile that, in addition to lush ambient tones, also provides very utilitarian types of gigging reverbs like plate and spring, then stick with the three-star review.

A "Flexible" Vermin
Regarding the SPLINTER pedal. It's a RAT clone and does the job very well. The switching and knobs work smoothly and noiselessly. It should also be noted that this pedal, can be opened and you can switch OpAmp chips. There are about 6 that ProCo used over the years and they all give a slightly different tone/edge. Many Guitar FX forums (Gear Page) or a good AI search will give you the list of various chips, which can be ordered cheap from a good electronics supply house. (Don't forget to order a chip puller). I have experimented with the various chips to find the one that fits my taste for proper RAT Droppings. Just note that doing so WILL void your warranty, so be sure you like the pedal before operating. You can also do that same with the Mosky version, but I have found that the JOYO version is more responsive to the OpAmp changes in a way that you can actually hear. One of the favorites of my 12 JOYO pedals.

Great tones for price point, transparent mid tone heaven.

Also für 30€ wirklich gut. Gehäuse Metall, sieht wertig aus. Rauschen tut da auch nix, steht aber auch True Bypass druf.

The Joyo King of Kings (Dual Crunch) is a dual overdrive pedal, meant to give an analog sounding distortion. It can be set for very subtle overdrive (distorts only when playing more aggressively), or full overdrive, where the lead guitar has a very beautiful violin-like tone and sustain. I like all the adjustment options that come with this pedal, so you can customize the tone just to your liking. The construction, and even the packaging, are top-notch. Seems to be low noise also.
