I bought this 5 lb bean bag filler to refresh an old bean bag and also add extra stuffing to some throw pillows and I’m really impressed. The shredded memory foam is soft, fluffy and expands nicely once opened. The added gel particles are a great touch and make it feel more supportive and comfortable compared to regular foam filling. It was very easy to use and didn’t have a strong chemical smell, which I appreciated. After fluffing it up, it filled more space than I expected and gave everything a like-new feel again. It works perfectly for bean bags, poufs, pillows, and even firm enough for things like an ottoman or punching bag. Overall, this is a great value for the amount you get and the quality of the foam. I would definitely purchase again for future refills or DIY projects.

This filler is high quality and thick. It fills quickly and great value for the price. It was easy to use and exceeded our expectations, only thing is it of course is in small pieces and some are larger chunks so be careful around pets and small children when filling.

We have an old bean bag chair in the playroom that my kids still love. Over time it started to feel flat and lumpy, so I decided to refill it instead of buying a new one. I used this shredded memory foam to bring it back to life, and the difference was noticeable as soon as we sat down. When I opened the package, the foam was compressed and needed some time to expand. I spent a while separating the pieces by hand. It took a bit of patience, but it was not difficult. Once fluffed up, the texture felt soft and springy, not stiff. After filling the bean bag, it felt fuller and more supportive. When I sit with my kids to read, the chair holds its shape better instead of sinking straight to the floor. It feels balanced and comfortable for both adults and children. I also paid attention to the smell since I am sensitive to strong odors. There was a light foam scent at first, but it faded quickly. It did not linger in the room, which I appreciated. Note that separating the compressed foam takes time and can be a little messy. Small pieces may fall around during the process. Still, for restoring an old bean bag and making it usable again, this filler did the job well.

This bean bag filler is great. It came packaged vacuum sealed and secured and when I opened the bag it started to comeback to life and within a few hours it was like regular foam filler. Definitely recommend if you have a pillow or bean bag to fill.

I was using this to fill a plush for a family member... at least, that was the original intent. Unfortunately once I started decompressing the memory foam, I was noticing about maybe a tenth of it was just foam (like you would see in something like a yoga mat) instead of memory foam. This in itself wasn't really a deal breaker, though it would mean a bunch of annoying sifting to get the proper memory foam over the less squishy counterparts. What made me decide that the quality was REALLY bad was when I started finding fused chunks of plastic-ish material in the bag too. It MIGHT be that these were pieces of foam that were partially melted and fused by whatever machinery they use to 'shred' the foam, or chunks of plastic from something else... it matters little. They were little jagged pieces that if I put them into a plush they could at the very least become little hard areas under the faux fur. I didn't find any that were DANGEROUSLY sharp, but I didn't search the entire bag.

Purchased it to fill up an adult sized beanbag. The material is memory foam so it shrinks in size as soon as you sit on it. You would need at least 2 orders of this item to even fill it. I dont recommend it for a bean bag but if you are filling pillows or pet beds it should work just fine.
