1/4"NPT DC12V Brass Electric Solenoid Valve Normally Closed Water, Air, Diesel 2W025-N08/DC12V

I installed this on my air horn system on my truck and it works great. It installed with no leaks and appears to be well built.

Good solenoid. Bpigjt the pladtic one and hsd to return it. All these solenoids are ment for short duty or they will heat up and seize. I ended running this at 7.5 volts and it worked, still got hot, but never stopped working.

This is an outstanding solenoid valve. I am using it on an air horn on a vehicle. Far superior than the chrome-plated junk.

I have used these 4 times to release compression on an internal combustion engine. They work great for that application. But the last time I mounted the valve too close to the exhaust manifold and it melted the internal bonding and the coil fell off. To properly there must be at least 4 inches away from the exhaust port and coupled with 1/4 inch compression fittings and copper tubing.

I had bought this solenoid to replace the 10 yr old one I had that finally gave out. Though the brand is different the solenoid is the same and it worked flawlessly from the beginning. Install took me less time then wiring it and fit perfectly where it needed to go. Actuation was fast and there were no air leaks from it.

Used in-line with a sub tank in the bed to the hidden semi-truck horns under the hood. Hooked wires directly to stock horn connections and everything works great. Last one like this lasted about 7-8 years before rusting and locking up.

I use this to control air supply from a small air tank. My vintage Kenworth has “air activated valve timing”. It requires a minimum of 60 psi constant when starting in the morning or the timing will be altered and cause it to smoke horribly. The truck’s air supply bleeds off overnight. This solenoid holds a 1 gallon of 120 psi for days and weeks, when the ignition is turned on and power is supplied, the solenoid opens and the reserve air pressure in the small tank, activates the timing solenoid to provide air for the valve timing solenoid until the truck system builds adequate air pressure to compensate.

Exceptional performance as it related to my particular project. Easy to install and wiring/materials of acceptable nature. I'd certain purchase this again if in need.

I've only just started using it but it seems to be working fine. I'm using it to control a sprayer nozzle for my garden hose. The on time is only about 5 seconds at a time, so overheating isn't a problem. It seems to be drawing about 1.2A current under household water pressure load. It does operate right-side-up as in the instructions but also seems to work fine on its side. I haven't tried it in other orientations. It does restrict the water flow far more than I was expecting, but it's not a problem for my purposes.
