Living Proof Clarifying Detox Shampoo

I’ve been using Living Proof solely for at least the last ten years. When they came out with a clarifying shampoo I thought huh, I never ever clarify because I’ve been using just their products. Maybe this means it’s a good idea, even though their products are technically “silicone free”. I have greying hair that’s turned wavy and very frizzy over time. As good as Living Proof products are, nothing seems to help the frizz and believe me, I’ve incorporated everything you can possibly do. Anyhoo I thought maybe the frizz is buildup. I gave this shampoo a whirl and finished with the Repair mask. I added two pumps of the Bond Repair after my shower and, ten minutes later, did my usual routine of their leave in conditioner plus the Curl enhancer. I don’t use heat on my hair. This is the next day. While I have to admit my frizz is the same (no fault of the shampoo-clearly my frizz was not due to buildup) what IS very different is the texture of my hair. It’s SO SILKY! The shampoo made my hair so squeaky I was rather afraid, but the mask rinsed out so sleek and smooth, I was shocked. My grey hairs are really sparkling today. Last month my mother told me my hair was looking terribly dry. Now, some of that is my apparently inevitable frizz, but some of it was definitely buildup. I feel this is pretty strong stuff but I’ll be using it once a month now to just get the layers of whatever off my hair.

This is a really good quality shampoo that is also non toxic. It is not too think and will not grease your hair. This is best suitable for dry to normal hair but not recommended for oily to very oily hair. The scent was not overwhelming to me and overall a great product for shine and clarifying shampoo.

Would highly recommend! After my most recent cut, my stylist mentioned she noticed a lot more product buildup in my hair. I purchased this after reading a few of the reviews and it absolutely helped within the first couple of washes. I use once a week, in place of my first shampoo, and the difference is absolutely noticeable. My hair is softer and can go a few days without a wash without looking greasy or slick. It smells like all Living Proof products, which is fresh and it lathers pretty well for a detox shampoo. Buildup can be handled in a salon for around $50+ so the price of this and being about to do it at home is more than fair!

I was surprised by how much it really seemed to strip my hair clean. Definitely works. But i've only tried once, so I can't speak to long term use.

I like this product because it does what it says on the bottle which is effective, however if you have color treated hair it does make your hair feel really dry. Smells good, good size, and cleans your hair thoroughly, doesn't feel soft after washing.

I wish there was more than five stars. This stuff is amazing. I double washed my hair with it and conditioned it. Then I blow dried it and my hair hasn’t felt this light and silky and clean and a very long time!

Very good shampoo. Hair feels smooth and squeaky clean. Smells nice but consistency is quite thick and have to squeeze to get it out. Very happy with the results.

I loved the loreal metal detox. It once prevented me from cutting off a large section of my hair that I believed to be dead, but was apparently just suffering from buildup from my well water. This however, is supreme. It did what the metal detox did times two. This may be specifically corrective of my particular well water, but the results will make sure I always have a bottle.
