Much better than those cheap ones
compared to a few I've tried, this charger is great. User interface is nicely designed that makes good sense, intuitive. Easy setup, started working immediately. Efficiency also very good.

Solar Powere MPPT
This MPPT is workig great to help manage the solar power I am capturing from 2 x 400w solar panels. Makes sure my 2 x LiFe batteries are getting charged and maintained at the proper level without being drained. Then managing the power to the inverter to power my 120VAC needs at my house.

Does not have adjustable charging setpoints
I should probably have read the manual before ordering this unit, but it turned out that the charging setpoints are not adjustable. My main battery bank has multiple charge controllers, and since I run hydro power I do not charge the batteries to 100% just to extend their life a little bit. I was able to find a use for it on one of my backup systems, and it seems to be working fine so far. I suppose expecting it to have all the functionality of the much more expensive versions at this price-point is my fault. All in all, it seems like an affordable and basic unit that could be a good fit if you dont need it to anything too complicated. Update: After posting my review the company quickly reached out to me to offer me a refund, or help me configure the unit for custom settings; so I am adding a star for taking care of their customers. Turns out there is link software available to connect a laptop using a serial connection, but it is not something they really seem keen on you messing with. (and having done that for other charge controllers in the past, it is kind of a hassle). The bluetooth version can be configured using an app but it ends up costing almost 50% more, and is basically on par with the cost of a Renogy. Anyway, for a simple plug-and play charge controller, this seems like a good deal. If you could change a few of the settings, it would be a fantastic deal.

Works great without any hiccups, I have been putting this thing to use daily for almost a year and it has held up well without any faults.
