How does it hold up after 3 years?
Owned for roughly 2-3 years. Heres what I have to say. Side note: I have had zero issues realistically with the laptop itself, other than the charging cord went out about after 2 years. I replaced it with some crappy 3rd party cable that did not let me perform any games with high performance whatsoever, however it wad a charger issue not acer themselves. I found a great charger cable for a good price and 1 year later it still runs amazing. The pros: Let me start by saying this, I have a Hyper X Quadcast Mic plugged into this, a external monitor, a controller, a external keyboard, mouse, ethernet cable, webcam and headphones, I stream on this setup every so often at a very solid stream quality with no effect on my gaming performance. To say this laptop is a tank is a understatement! It will handle nearly anything you throw it's way, and as long as you take good care of it, it will take good care of you (reminder to take apart your laptop every few months and dust it out, your welcome :) ). The performance at first felt like it was nothing to write home about but played games very well, I added 32gb RAM to it and also 2TB SSD which has taken its performance even further. It runs a highly demanding game like Grand Theft Auto V at 60 fps on Max Graphical Settings with no hiccups, Doom Eternal, Red Dead Redemption 2 are also good examples as well. It has plenty of USB ports to use, but if you feel you need more, it can take a USB Hub as well. Overall its a breathtaking starter gaming laptop! Cons: The speakers on the laptop arent very good, they are very quiet, however I almost never use them, as I always have headphones in. The starter hard drive is good for starters, but with games constantly getting larger in size, you may want to invest in a HDD or SSD, I reccomend SSD if you want games to load faster! Lastly, the fan can be semi loud on big games, but you can easily quiet it down with a external laptop cooler, it's more of a "whatever you prefer" situation, but it can certainly help maintain. It has more pros than cons, and as long as you take care of it, it will never let you down. Hope this helps!

Product arrived as described.
Exactly as described, flawless performance, still going strong after a year and half. Haven’t needed to correspond or negotiate with the seller, so I don’t really know enough to comment, but I got a good value in a solid laptop.

Great Gaming Laptop for beginners
Easily one of the best purchases I've made, I've been using this laptop for more than a year and still manage to do everything perfect, I upgraded the ram and the RTX 3050 that includes is great for gaming even at high graphics, yes it gets hot and it gets loud but it is a laptop so it's no surprising, the performance is great, the materials of the device might not be the most premium but they are durable, Acer does a great job with their products as usual

It freezes when it heats up.
I'm playing with it for about 10 days now and it's been freezing the games when it heats up. There's a native app called nitro sense, where you can speed up the coolers, but it wasn't enough to play Ori and the will of wisps on full or red dead redemption on ultra mode. I got external coolers and it got better. I had to low the graphics to have a better playing experience. Battery doesn't last more than an hour of play time. My power bill raised a bit. I'd give it an 8/10 score. In general, it's a good gaming PC.

Great price for what you get......easy to add some upgrades too
This is an amazing laptop for what you pay. The RTX 3050 is pretty dang capable and the 12th gen I5 processor is better than the 11th gen I7. There is a caveat that come with the price. First, it only comes with 1 stick of 8 gig RAM. This is pretty much the bare minimum that you can get away with for windows 11. Windows ran and I could even play a few games, but performance is throttled because the memory will be maxed out. There's an extra DIMM to add memory. I would recommend that you buy at least one 8 gig stick of Crucial (this brand is approved to work with Acer) memory (DDR4 3200MHz CL22) and add it to the empty DIMM. It should be pretty cheap. I bought 2 sticks of 16 gig (32 total) for $70 and it's running quick and smooth. Accessing the motherboard to replace the memory was probably one of the easiest laptops I have ever done. I'm also going to replace the M.2 drive with a Crucial T500 1Tb drive. The one it comes with is 500 gigs and the one I'm buying has a faster read/write speed but the drive it comes with is capable. Also, there's 2 M.2 slots to use.

Don’t do it
It’s been less than a year that I paid a grand for this POS! I literally play FF ever crisis on it and it’s already freezing and lagging. This is the first and last high priced one I buy. I’ll stick to the $100 Black Friday specials for now on. All those years wanting one for this. It’s bs. Why does my warranty say February when I bought it in march? I’m contacting Acer at this point I don’t believe you’re actually an authorized dealer like you claimed. Then I’ll be talking to Amazon about it too.

Review after 2 weeks
at $950 I had to take the chance on this laptop despite some of the reviews being bad. If you're considering this laptop my guess is you're like me in that you dont want to build a pc yourself for whatever reason. I would say this was a fair purchase but if you can wait, i'd say save up a bit more and get a pc built for yourself at microcenter or something. I have played many games and all of them can be played on at least medium settings with no lag. That would include cyberpunk 2077 to give you an idea. I really only have one problem with the laptop and it makes it a bad long term investment. From fully charged, i can only game for maybe 50 minutes. Cant even reach an hour. If that sounds unpleasant to you then pass on this. Otherwise it serves its purpose for me in playing all the games I couldn't on my previous laptop. Months later and I am still pleased with the laptop. It acts a bit different from when I got it. Before I would only play games without it being plugged in and so I could only play for an hour before I turned it off to charge. In that state I could play most high end games on medium settings with no lag. That is no longer the case. Now I lag on the lowest settings on these games and even games I feel should not lag at all. But this is only while unplugged. While it is charging I can play any game I want on high settings and on some older games the highest settings. I play cyberpunk 2077 on high but that's cause I don't care to push the limits. This laptop can run anything care free while plugged but I just here to play in that state. I looked online and apparently that's normal for gaming laptops, they utilize all their strength when plugged and it's no problem playing in that state. But I'd hate for the battery to die sooner by doing that so I play a game called nioh while unplugged since it can handle it. And I play assassin's Creed origins on the highest settings while plugged and charging up. I try not to play for long past the point it's fully charged. So this is my experience, I say it was money well spent.
