Perfect extremely basic and straightforwad small dvd player that works well when we hook it up to our projector for outdoor movie nights. Small, easy to use, nothing fancy.

I just bought the perfect Christmas gift for my family. It's this new Arafuna Mini DVD Player for TV. It is not only one gift but it's two gifts in one. The DVD player has two great functions: It can play CDs and DVDs. You can carry it with you on the go with your favorite headphones plugged into the unit with the built in headphone jack (it does not have Bluetooth). Or you can hook it up to your favorite television at home and enjoy movies from your DVD library.The color of this Arafuna player is very fitting for the holidays. It is a real pretty white suited for a wintery white Christmas. I love the see-through top cover. All the DVDS are visible while inside the player. The display is sharp and crisp for pleasurable viewing and the exterior buttons are very nicely fitted to the player. The included remote is very legible and gives you access to a variety of playback features.Using the player as a DVD playback shows it is chock full of features. You can speed up or slow down the video along with zooming in and shrinking the picture size. While in setup mode you can adjust the sharpness, brightness,contrast, gamma level, hue and saturation to your level of satisfaction. The player will remember the settings each time you turn it off. The quality of the video playback is very good. The Arafuna DVD player can play a multitude of discs such DVD, SCVCD, VCD, KODAK PICTURE, PHOTO CD and DIVX. You can even play a previously recorded SD card. There is a built-in battery that lasted longer than I did. The player kept playing long after I fell asleep.The music playback feature on the Arafuna player is pleasant. It won't replace your favorite CD player but it does have have features that allow you to play MP3s CDs, CD-R, and CD-RW. I just wished this player had Bluetooth. Oh well, maybe in the future.All in all I'm glad I purchased this Arafuna DVD player. I'm sure my family and I will enjoy it for years to come.

The video quality was ok. Surprisingly more grainy than we’re accustomed to on other players. But it was “ok” for the convenience of the small light weight player. Great for traveling.We didn’t use it on our first trip at all. But on our second trip we played a video and stopped it about half way through. When we went to play the second half the player stopped working (disc wouldn’t spin/no disc error) if the hdmi cable was plugged in.Using the AV cable the disc spins but gets stuck at loading.While I didn’t expect the player to last forever, I expected it to last at least through a whole movie, which it didn’t achieve!

I had purchased this player to pair with a miniature portable projector that I already have to be able to project movies on my large great room wall. This player can certainly handle that, and I am thrilled with the quality of the player and what's included for the cost.Everything you need is in the box (except the remote batteries). They include the connecting cables (HDMI and RCA), so no additional expense there. There is a full-function remote, AND they have buttons on the side of the unit just in case you want (or need) to operate it without (requires 2 AAA batteries).I haven't tried the SD or USB inputs, but they are there nonetheless. Might come in handy at some point.I did play both commercial DVDs and backups that I had burned years ago. Both played with no issues, despite the moderate scratches on those old backup copies. I have not had any freezing, skipping, or latency with this player, and that says a lot, as I have my full-sized ones that skip all the time.It is also powered by USB-C (and they do include a plug-in brick as well). Nice part about that is that you can just use the USB port off the projector (or TV) to power the player without needing an extra outlet nearby. It also has a translucent cover, so you can see the disk spinning. The front LCD display is also a nice feature not seen on the inexpensive compact players. I have a full-sized Sony that doesn't have any front display other than a power light!So overall, a solid 5-stars for this little guy. I look forward to putting on the movie nights for the kids and their friends with that super 120+ inch screen! I am very happy that the player truly meets all of my needs.

Works great

We were hesitant to purchase this item, thinking it likely wouldn't work - but this little gem is amazing. We were sadly disappointed when our tried and true Toshiba DVD/VHS konked out and it was just on a whim that we thought we'd see what Amazon had to offer and here we are. Easy to set up, easy to insert DVD and before you know it, you're watching your DVDs just like before and without the bulk of a big heavy player that takes up so much space. This one not only works well, but it fits under our TV without taking up hardly any space at all. I purchased two now - and might even purchase another - why not have them in each room with a TV - - what the heck !!!!
