Super cute and functional enough for the purpose. You would have to fill your drink container abnormally high to get all the holes submerged, but you can plop him in to float, instead of hanging on the cup edge. He worked pretty well that way even if it isn't the design intention.

He is adorable and can make a very strong cuppa!! Be careful how much loose leaf tea you put in as my partner filled him up the first use and the tea was far too strong!
