This is a very substantial piece of kit, i was pleasantly surprised to see how heavy duty it is, baring in mine all the older types ive used. I think the main concern with equipment like this is, did I feel safe using it? Yes i did. At no point did it give me any reason to be concerned. Check your fitment, make sure everything is correctly lined up. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Be completey clear on how this device works and functions and you will be fine. I found the build quality to be excellent, sturdy and made of good quality materials. My only gripe is the yellow plastic padsnon the coil seats should be a bit thicker, i am nit picking but a little thicker would be better. I am happy with my purchase and if that changes in the future i will update this review.

Owned 2 sets of spring compressor sticks and nothing beats this kit, very heavy duty, weights a tonne and compresses the spring very tight. The plates are heavy duty with lips to trap the spring. Reduces spring slipping. Used it to compressed my bmw springs to change shocks and very easy do it. And use. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade or worrying about spring slipping.

Great coil compressor use it for lexus was perfect jobs done no cordless wrench nice and easy with 22mm socket.

Had the spring under full compression. Mercedes c class front spring. Started to loosen the clamp and circlip came off from some part of the clamp and the spring came off with some force too. Luckily not in my direction. So put the thing back in box and returned it. Cars off the road. Ordered a bigger compressor with a jack attached. The spring doesn’t sit in the cups properly and it has tiny little nubs to hold the spring.

Comprato per la sostituzione degli ammortizzatori della mia auto e devo dire che fa il suo lavoro,grazie a questo attrezzo in meno di 5 minuti sono riuscito a sostituire gli ammortizzatori comprimendo le molle con facilità e in sicurezza. L’attrezzo sembra di buona fattura e bello robusto tutto organizzato nella sua apposita valigetta con le varie riduzioni per le molle.

Habe dieses Werkzeug bestellt um die Stoßdämpfer vorne am Golf 7 zu wechseln. Eine Sinnvolle Investition wenn man auf Sicherheit wert legt. Die komprimiert Feder ist sicher gespannt und lässt sich gut bewegen auf den neuen Stoßdämpfer. Das Gewinde sollte vor Gebrauch gefettet werden und nur per Hand gedreht werden (kein Schlagschrauber)

Worked great! Instead of paying someone to replace shocks I got this unit instead at the fraction of the cost. Beefy and sturdy. Compressed my 25 GMC sierra AT4 1500 springs no problem.
