I paid $35, so at that price it's 5-stars, at $80 or $100 there are much better coatings out there like cquartz UK3.0 or Cquartz lite 2.0 which is just as easy to install, or ethos ez peazy. The wipe off is grabby, and the coating is very thick and viscous so you really have to shake the bottle to get it out onto the applicator. Very easy to apply, grabby to wipe off, and if you find any high spots they are easy to wipe off coating is fairly glossy and super slick. I will update this review later on regarding the durability ***Update*** 04/19/2026 1st wash, hydrophobics are just ok, 7 out of 10. The slickness is still impressive and gloss too.

Bought about 10 bottles within the span of 6 months for my 5 star detailing business here in houston and I absolutely love this ceramic coating! From the protection it leaves, the slickness of the vehicle, amazing mirror shine, easy to apply and remove, and for the price it is unbeatable! Definitely worth every penny and my clients can’t get enough of it especially when they are washing their own vehicles and getting compliments left and right!

I purchased about a month ago and am extremely impressed with this product! I consider myself an enthusiast but by no means am I professional when it comes to washing and detailing my vehicles. I have previously used other coatings that were more of a short term user friendly approach to ceramic type coatings. Those worked but need to be repeated more often. Once I heard about this product coming out I decided I would give it a shot. I know a key for applying coatings is to make the surface as clean as possible so that you will get maximum bonding to the clear coat. I first used Meguiar's iron decontamination spray, then used a clay bar to try and get off as much contamination as I could. After that I used my DA polisher attachment for my drill to do a once over with a compound and a polish. Once that was complete I made sure any excess polish or other materials were removed with a surface prep spray. Once that was all ready I applied the coating. First of all it was extremely easy to apply and very forgiving overall for someone like me. I went along panel by panel until complete. I would say from wash, clay, polish and finally applying it took me about 7-8 hours. The results: The shine and finish is unmatched for any other product I have used. Running my hand over the panels felt smoother than I could have imagined. The coating helped to smooth out and reduce any of the imperfections that were left on the car. A week or so later we got our first rain. The water beading was amazing. Any of the dirt that had gathered over that week washed away with the rain and made it look like I had just gotten a car wash. I parked the car in the garage and within an hour all of the remaining water had beaded up and rolled off the car. It looked like I didn't even drive in the rain and it was clean! Since I have given the car it's first bath and sprayed a quick layer of the hybrid ceramic wax over for extra protection even though it didn't really need it. I look forward to seeing how it hold up long term.

After LOTS of research into the best ceramic coating for a DIY, I settled on M888. Extremely satisfied! The reviews were correct; this is an amazing product at a good price. Easy to apply and very forgiving, its brings out an amazing shine and is easy on and off. You do have to prepare the car and follow the directions, but the results are worth it. Now let me see how long it lasts.

Great product, I have bought it multiple times. Very easy to put on. Great working time. It’s been on my truck for over one year now. Also put it on my sister in law’s old car and her new one. Absolutely no failure, makes it easy to wash and dry. Very satisfied.

We have a 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 4WD truck in Delmonico red with 27K miles on it. It's not a daily driver and stays in the garage when not in use. I'm in my 50s and have always taken pride in caring for our vehicles. As a kid, my dad owned a body shop so I'm more than familiar with paint care and have seen it all through the years. However, this is my first experience with ceramic coating. We have a couple classic cars and many of our car buddies have paid to have their cars professionally coated. I priced having ours done and to have it paint corrected, polished and ceramic coated was something like $1400. Being a DIY guy I wanted to try it myself and save the money. After washing I used a clay bar mitt and Meguiars Quick Detailer to remove any contaminates. Next, I used our DA and Meguiars Ultimate Compound to try to remove some of the light swirls from when (I'm assuming) the previous owner used a car wash. I didn't go crazy on this step as there weren't many swirls and not being an expert with a DA I didn't want to cut into the clear coat or cause any damage. Next, I applied Meguiars Show Glaze #7 by hand. Finally, it was time for the ceramic coating. It went on very easy and after the recommended flash time came off super easy with a microfiber towel. I was extremely pleased with the ease of use and it felt like I only used about half of the bottle for our entire crew cab 3/4 ton full sized truck. I may do a second coat (heavier this time ... first coat was thin but not too thin) on the roof and hood. I only gave it 4 stars because I'm curious how long it will last and how it washes up the next time it's dirty. I'm also anxious to do my wife's 2019 Nissan Armada daily driver and see how that holds up. If it's your first time trying ceramic coat I'd say go ahead and take the leap! The only advice I would give is to take your time with surface prep and keep lots of clean, dry towels on hand. Thanks Meguiars for another great product!

Meguiar's makes exceptional auto products and this one has all of the items included to apply and detail your automobile's paint surface. Although there is a lot of prep involved in readying your vehicle's surface, the application and final wipe down is very similar to applying any other wax or protective coating. The cost of it however, does make you feel a bit sheepish that either you'll run out of product before being done or a negative result will ensue. Luckily, neither of those things occurred. Looks great.

This product arrived damaged, but I didn't realize it was damaged until it was too late. I brought it back in May and then didn't get around to prepping the car to install it until July. After the car was ready including a decontamination, and a two-stage paint correction I opened the McGuire's box to find that the lid was broken from the factory! The contents are dried up and all I see are crystals around the dispenser part of it. External of box had no signs of leak either and it was still a factory sealed box. I've always had good luck with Meguire's in the past which is why I purchased this but now I'm questioning their quality control. I did reach out to Meguiars custom service since I'm beyond Amazon return window. Still frustrated though because I don't want to start diving car and have redo contamination and paint prep steps while I'm waiting for them to make it right. Also this is a dated product, the kit I have expires in Nov 2025 which maybe explains why they have dropped the price much. Update: I reached out to Maguires customer service, and they replaced the product. Took about a week to arrive and their team was helpful, responsive and professional. However, the replacement product has the SAME issue, with a cracked lid. This new one has expiration date of 6/26, so much newer, but they have major quality control problems and I can't recommend to anyone.
