The author of this book gives clear, succinct directives. It offers popular subjects with sketches accompanying the directives. I love that there are obvious ranges of pencil shades in each sketch. If you have an interest in drawing, this book allows you to move forward in your art. I highly recommend it.

I really like this book. It covers a lot of the basics like perspectives and shapes. I can see how it will lift natural talent up to another level. It's exactly what I need.

Nice book, but a little too advanced for my nine year-old granddaughter. I returned it.
