Working perfectly with Minisforum UM780 XTX
This oculink board works perfectly, plug-and-play, with the oculink port on the Minisforum UM780 XTX.

Works with older cards, verdict undetermined for newer cards... build quality could be better.
NOTE: Testing in progress... What I did: - Connected it to a SATA power cable from my PSU - Connected it to an Oculink cable (itself adapted from a M.2 slot) The good: - Works with a 2070 w/o any issues. The bad: - SATA power slot is VERY tight and feels at risk of breaking off (see the other reviewer's comment) - both on inserting and removing. Jury still out: - 3080 seems to have trouble booting properly. I see video output of the BIOS logo, but that's it. - Higher end cards => No idea. Will update my review if/when I have more to report.

Works but your mileage may vary
Same as the other brand I bought - So I first tested this on a NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 4000 GRAPHICS CARD and works perfectly, moving up to higher enterprises level (amd) cards I found that once booted into Linux the cards Were in a low power mode and couldn’t be seen by the os. I suspect this might have to do with the sata power connection not providing enough pcie power - the enterprise gpu were connected to 4+4 pcie power as well but like I said it probably requires correct pcie slot power as well. Just something for potential buyers to be aware of it may work with x090 gaming cards but higher wattage cards might be hit or miss.

Seems solid to me
Not much to review here. Looks well built and does what it's supposed to.

Only works with my older GPUs.
I bought this to make an EGPU to use with my GPD Win 4 (2023) via Occulink. No Video with the following GPUs RTX 3060 12gb. RTX 2080 Super. RTX 3070ti. GTX 1060 6gb. The Following GPUs Ran with no issues. GTX TITAN X GTX 970 GTX 750ti Maybe there's something I'm missing but overall it's a great device for the price.

Limited Success with Some Unexpected
Update 03/25/2025: I have had some more extensive testing with this adapter and had several failures. This is mostly dependent on the motherboard. From a supermicro motherboard through a bifurcation card it would work with a gpu at 4.0 speed. This contributed to my original review. From the same motherboard via the m.2 port it would not work reliably with the same gpu. It won't work at 4.0 speed (actual speed 1.1) on an Asus motherboard through m.2 port. It would work at (seemingly 4.0) speed on an asrock motherboard m.2 port with a gpu but not a nic. The NIC would not be recognized at all, probably because of insufficient power or missing voltage, likely the latter. The NIC situation is unexpected which contributed to the 2 star. For the other hit or miss scenarios it would have been a 3 star. By "working reliably" I mean some GPU stress testing with nvidia-smi for pcie tx/rx errors. What I observed was that if it works fine then no errors can be detected at all. If not then it basically just disconnects and crashes the application, except for the NIC not being detected at all. My previous review: This adapter is rather cheaply made but works nevertheless. With reasonably quality cable this can work with pcie gen4.

M2-oculink変換基板からoculinkケーブルでつなぎ、4Xカードを挿して動くことは確認。ビデオカード系はまだ動かせていません。

Really poor quality. The power pins socket snapped off when connecting solder joints.

残念ながらM.2 NVMe SSD 2TBを接続してみたが認識できなかった。M.2 SATA SSD 1TBは接続しちゃんと認識して使用できる。
