Masterpiece: Endeavour Complete Collection

Guaranteed, you will watch this series again.

I picked this up as I want to be able to rewatch these at my leisure instead of hunting for them on streaming somewhere. If you like Brit mystery long format shows this will be right up your alley.Superb acting all around, both the headliners and character roles. Well written although if you examine a given episode hard enough you can punch a few holes in the plot logic; par for the course with these shows from my experience, it's only a 90 min episode.I do like the breadth and depth of stories and how Morse has people come into and out of his life. He is a troubled person in some ways and the writer weaves this theme in and out of the series. Absolutely recommend and I feel if you are remotely interested in this genre, you will be hooked.There is a pilot "movie" or separate episode and then the start of the seasons.I can't recommend enough!

So happy to have this complete series on dvd and at a great price, especially since the PBS series just ended recently. Please be aware that each of the two cases have a single spindle as shown in my photo, on which 10 discs come stacked. They came off the spindle fairly easily, but no way would I want to deal with this every time I want to watch the series, so I put all the discs in a zippered 24 disc CD/DVD holder, which I purchased separately on Amazon. This held all the discs, plus had 4 extra slots, which I used for cover artwork from the original case and cut to size. Then I tossed the two cases and the box they came in. I look forward to many years of enjoying this superior quality production.The quality of the series and the dvds are top notch. Glad to have the option of English subtitles on occasions when accents are difficult.

I purchased Edeavour, Morse, and Lewis for the full story line for my wife for Christmas. She loves watching the series and it provides quite a few hours of entertainment. We have gotten so we get tired of all the F-bombs and sex on new shows, so these shows are clean, entertaining, and worth watching.

I thought that Inspector Lewis was good, but Endeavor is exceptional!!! I'm watching the series again because it is so good.Everything makes this series exceptional--casting/acting, writing/stories, cinematography/location (Oxford never fails), beautiful costumes, and did I mention the acting?! Even the special features were good.I just bought Inspector Morse because of this. Hope it's as good, but tough competition...I highly recommend!

Wonderful series. Great quality except the sound was kind of low.

I ordered the Endeavour DVD Set expecting the complete set (all 9 seasons). I just completed watching all of the DVDs received. The last film didn't appear to be the last one in the series so I checked to determine how many seasons I received and how many seasons made up the Complete Set. I had received only the first five seasons (there are nine seasons in the actual complete set). I went to my local library and obtained a copy of the actual Complete Set. There are 20 discs in the complete set (I only received 10 discs). When comparing the set I received against the Complete Set I obtained from my library I found out that the set I received didn't have all of the shows from Season 5.I'm very disappointed with this purchase. I didn't receive the Complete Set (9 seasons) plus the set I did receive didn't have all of the shows from Season 5 (incomplete).Even though the return window has expired, due to these problems I expect a full refund of my money on this order.

Terrific series. The dvds sound is significantly out of sync.
