Love this product. Lavender is one of the best smells in my opinion and now I can have my cats safely smell like that after grooming and bathing them. My male cat sometimes has a musk to him that isn’t the best scent especially when he turns his backside for me to catch a friendly whiff. This has helped improve both my long and short-haired cat’s fur texture and appearance. Their fur is softer, smoother, and shinier. Even the vet has said they have beautiful coats. The smell also last for several days and is not strong and has not caused any side effect with my cats so I know it’s safe. I actually have used this product when my cats were separated temporarily and couldn’t recognize each other due to different scents. I sprayed this on both of them so they smelled the same and within a day they were friends again. I recommend brushing this through their fur to distribute the spray and also to provide some massaging to their skin below and better moisturizing.

My Husky is a rescue off the streets. She was filthy in poor shape. She needed several baths to rid her stench. When I used this shampoo on her she immediately noticed the difference and seemed to like it and was pleased with herself. Besides that this fragrance hides inside her under coat it’s my pleasure to hug on her and bury my face into her thick coat. She’s about 30 pounds heavier than in photos with a thick coat. This and quality dog food and a little salmon oil has made her feel like she’s home and healthy, clean probably for the first time in her adult life.

This product smells fantastic! You know how most pet shampoo stops smelling good the moment its rinsed off? Not this one. My cat is silky smooth and smells great. The soap was quite thick so it was able to be managed easily and not running all over the place. Even though it was thick it was exceptionally easy to rinse out. A lot of people complain about how terrible it is to bathe a cat. Although it seemed the amazing smell of the lavender helped calm our Pete. He was all Calgon-take-me-away when I was bathing him. The shampoo came packaged in a plastic bag so it there wasn't a risk of leaking onto other items which I found very thoughtful! I will definitely be purchasing this shampoo for our cat again. It says it is able to be used on cats and dogs so I may try to swing wash our massive Saint Bernard in it as well, just so we can have two amazing smelling animals!

I bought this for my ShiChi because her fur is so thick that I'd brush her out and after an hour of running around playing, her fur would have small mats. So I sprayed her fur last night, rubbed it in and then brushed her out after it dried. This morning she was still mat and knot free and her fur is super soft. I'm very impressed with the way it works but not so impressed with the strong scent. It's not an unpleasant smell just strong even after 12 hours. So I am only giving it 4 stars. If they would decrease the intensity of the smell, it would definitely be a 5 start product.

my shorkie girl she keeps a little odd scent either from small little accidents or from just needing a in between bathe thru grooming and i wanted something that will give a scent thru out the week while also giveva bounce and a deep cleansing aswell JP DID IT. my fur baby got out her nice bath first time ever shaking up a storm running thru the house like a leaf in the wind she enjoyed it i also backed up with the detangling spray aswell. the smell is on the strong side more minty than lavender but it will cover up a stinky odor if your looking for odor control. you don't need but a drop to use to lather. I will try to avoid the eyes just because how strong it smells and because it doesn't say tear free. just want to cover all bases also my hand did feel kind of funny during the process of bathing idk if it was because of the minty chemicals but that was my reaction. overall I will continue use and my fur baby is fine.

As a shampoo for our kitten, it worked great. The kitten's mom was feral and the kitten was dirty when we got him. He is so soft and fluffy after his bath! For that, full marks. The shampoo did its job. However, I chose this shampoo because I wanted a mint and lavender smell. I love those smells. It smells like neither of those. The ingredients list "tea tree", which is where I'm assuming the overpowering smell came from and while I know it's not the same as patchouli, it really reminded me of my college days with chaco-wearing roommates that cultivated the woodsy smell and white kids who have dreadlocks. I loved my roommates. I wear chacos. I think white kids wearing dreadlocks can be cultural appropriation, but is their choice. I don't mind the tea tree/patchouli smell and can enjoy it under certain circumstances. That said, I wanted my kitten to smell like an english garden, not a college dorm full of river guides. My kids were even more disappointed. They said, "Now the kitten stinks!" I'll use the shampoo for the cat, but I won't be buying more.

Since Mia my dog was a puppy 🐶 I’ve been using the tearless shampoo made by JP Mitchell as well and never tried others. Since I couldn’t find the tearless the day I needed I ended up choosing this one. Amazing scent, leaves Mia’s hair so soft and so easy to detangle after bathing! Mia is a yorkiepoo long pearl haired color ! The scent stays for days, and now o only use the tearless shampoo to wash her face . It’s a great brand and amazing prices ! Funny fact is that I truly believe that this shampoo calms her during bath time and after, although she’s super quiet and relaxed while I bathe her this scent somehow made her even more relaxed ! She loves it and so does everyone at home that love to smell her ! Thanks JP Mitchell for thinking about the little furry creatures that we also call our babies ! Love ❤️

I wonder how this product has got such a high review. First of all, it strips away all the moisture from the pets hair you don’t get that soft effect afterwards. The smell is super strong. It’s now been a few days and my cat still has a strong smell of lavender. Definitely not gonna use it again.
