After living with my spouse for over 5 years and never getting his toenail fungus, I finally got it. When I got it I was on a mission to get rid of it. The prescription creams and nail polishes (not this one) my foot doctor prescribed us, did nothing for either one of us. I finally decided we would try laser fungus treatment. This treatment cleared up my fungus completely and mostly for my husband. The laser foot doctor prescribed us this Clarus anti-fungal solution to keep the fungus away while the toenails purged the fungus after laser treatment. I only painted this on the affected toenail (not realizing I was supposed to be protecting all of them with this polish). After a while I got the fungus back on a different toe (that I wasn't protecting with this polish). We ended up getting a second round of toenail laser treatment, and again used this polish to protect our toes. After a while I stopped using this polish and got another case of it. I started using this polish again on my 3rd case of the fungus (no laser treatment this time), and it actually went away with just this polish! If you catch your fungal infection early, it is possible that this polish can treat/solve your issue. If you have had a fungal infection case for years, you will need another type of treatment (laser or pills) to get rid of it, but this polish will help keep it from taking hold again. I now use this polish on my toes after every shower and am currently fungus free!

The best product for discolored nails! You do have to use it everyday and consistently in order to see the best results but it is worth it.

This product is not a miracle cure, but it is useful as part of a regimen for toenail fungus treatment.--Use the Kera Nail Gel in the morning, and the Clarus or FungaBlend 10 in the evening. You should really do these other things to make it work better: If your toenail is thickened by the fungus, you should take a file and rub it over the whole surface of the nail for a few strokes every day to file it down and make it thinner. Do this after you take a shower or after soaking the foot in water. This helps the medication reach down to where the fungus is. Your doctor can give guidance on whether you are filing it enough. After filing your nail, you should wash your foot in soap and water to keep the dust from the filings from going to the other nails and spreading the fungus. You should also trim your nail every six weeks. Keeping the nail shorter also helps the medication reach under the nail. (Be sure to sanitize your trimmer with 10% bleach solution after trimming the infected nail, to keep from spreading the infection to the other nails.) Try to trim your nail before you go to your doctor.--Because if you let your doctor do it, and it's not covered by your insurance, that's a very expensive pedicure! And remember that it takes time for this treatment to work.--It takes several months for the old nail to grow out. One more fact.--The longer you have your toenail fungus, the harder it will be to get rid of it. I had the fungus for many years, and the doctor said I probably won't get rid of it completely. But this stuff together with the other advice, have helped me to get rid of the worst of it, and I will continue treatment to keep the fungus under control.

Not sure which treatment actually did the trick. I've had toenail fungus for a lifetime. Ick. Embarrassing. I've ripped off my nails so many times, the nail beds on 5 toenails are stunted and the nails basically don't grow so I have half nails. With no guarantee they will ever come back, so far, not so good, I went to have laser done, took Lamisil (bad for the liver but my tests were fine), got UV shoe sterilizers on Amazon and was told by the laser doc to use this stuff morning and night. Good news is, according to my manicurist, the fungus is gone. All the flaky stuff surrounding the nail bed is now not present. Fungus is nasty stuff. Over the years, I tried every blasted sensical and nonsensical approach. Nothing worked: Soaking in bleach, in vinegar, in Listerine, in salt water, scouring with Comet, Vicks Vaporub, hydrogen peroxide, you name it, I did it. Zip. Because of my unique situation of partial nails, the treatments acted differently than if I had full nails. I cannot guarantee that this local treatment will work, most probably not on very bad cases, where I would recommend the course of treatment I used and include this stuff. Not cheap. Depends on how deep your vanity goes. Couldn't hurt, might help.
