The investment has already paid off, as using it on three vehicles has saved the equivalent of professional technician fees. While I am pleased with the purchase, the main drawback is the device’s speed when processing or downloading large amounts of data, which can take several minutes.

This is a fine piece of kit. It seems sturdy and it functions fine. However, it is over marketed and promises everything to everybody and when it falls short, they simply ask for you to stand by for updates. This did not satisfy my immediate needs for Ford 6.7 diesel engine and fuel system diagnostics so, I am returning. Set up went fine but there is a very aggravating aspect that was revealed. I noticed as I searched for my specific functions that they want you to purchase additional access to service functions for some models.

Ich hab mir den LAUNCH X431 geholt, weil ich endlich ein Diagnosegerät wollte, das mehr kann als nur Fehlercodes auslesen. Und das Teil ist echt eine Wucht. Ich hab’s schon an mehreren Autos getestet, BMW und Mercedes und jedes Mal problemlos verbunden. Die Geschwindigkeit und Genauigkeit sind top. Die Tiefe der Diagnosen finde ich echt MEGA. Man kann wirklich alle Systeme prüfen, Motor, ABS, Getriebe, Airbag, alles. Die bidirektionalen Tests sind genial, z. B. Lüfter oder Injektoren direkt ansteuern. Ich hab damit sogar eine Drosselklappenadaption gemacht, lief perfekt. Die Bedienung ist einfach, das Display reagiert schnell, und das Menü ist übersichtlich. Mit der Bluetooth-Verbindung muss ich nicht mehr mit Kabeln im Motorraum rumfummeln. Und die 2 Jahre kostenlose Updates sind ein echter Vorteil, da bleibt das Gerät aktuell. Klar, es ist kein Schnäppchen, aber im Vergleich zu Werkstattkosten hat sich das schon beim zweiten Einsatz bezahlt gemacht. Für ambitionierte Schrauber wie ich, ein richtig starkes Tool. Schnell, gut und echt stark, mit Profi-Funktionen, die sonst nur teure Geräte bieten. Ich würd’s sofort wieder kaufen.
