Easy to install - all hardware included
This heatsink is very small in profile but it fits perfect onto the M.2 SSD in my Flashstor FS68. It took less than 10 minute to install (including fishing for one lost screw inside the NAS) the heatsinks. Since they are from ASUSTOR they fit perfectly and because of the two screws they give the M.2 SSD's an additional security against loosening. In combination with the active heatsink (fan) they shout keep the heat down, even during hot summer times.

Great
Works as expected. Perfectly fits NVMe only NAS. Although I believe it should be included in flashstor NAS

Essential component for F6806X
These were listed as necessary for the ASUSTOR F67 series for the M.2 SSDs I was getting but not for the F68 series. I went ahead and got them anyway assuming the heat management needs would be similar. Shipping took a few days longer on the heat sinks than the NAS, so I did try running my new ASUSTOR F6806X without the heat sinks and 3 drive temps were idling at 45-49°C and hitting 83°C with even a small stress test - well over the 70°C max operating temp listed on the drives. So I waited for what seemed like the longest weekend of the past year, and installed them within about 10 minutes of them getting delivered. Fired up the NAS and started moving larger and larger blocks of data. Now, the 3 drives idle at 39-43°C and the largest spike so far with a roughly 100GB write has been 48°C with 46°C typical. For such basic, low-profile, passive heat sinks, they do a great job at keeping the temperature steady - generally within 3°C of the at-rest temperature. If you're going to drop the cash on a NAS like this, getting these heat sinks is a no-brainer to protect that investment. (On a side note, the three 4TB cards I got came with what was supposedly a graphene layered label that was supposedly for heat management... That did absolutely nothing. Don't believe that if you see it advertised; get a real heat sink like these.)

Holds ssds in place.
I have the FS607T populated with 6 TEAMGROUP MP44Q 4TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 2280 I managed to reduce idle CPU temp about 10 C (from 50s to 40s) by replacing the oem thermal compound on the oem heatsink with Arctic MX-4. ssd idle temps seem constant at about 40 C no matter what. I tried: (1) with no heatsinks (oem graphene ssd labels in place) (2) with heatsinks (oem graphene ssd labels in place) (3) with heatsinks and Arctic MX-4 (heatsink thermal pads and oem graphene ssd labels removed) Not sure about heat transfer under heavy sustained load yet, but at least the heatsinks holds the ssds in place after the Flashtor clips break off.

Perfect fit
Install was easy. These are very low profile, but better than nothing. I have not really noticed a significant drop in temps, but I do not exactly work the drives very hard. Single user NAS at the moment. It is mainly storage of common small files, like documents etc. Also stores photos, but they are not accessed more than a few times per week.

Very easy to install
Just peel the backing off the thermal pad and set on the drives and screw down. Just keep in mind, you cover two drives per heat sink, you cannot separate and install individually. No way to know if they are doing any good but assuming they have to cool in some manner and every little bit helps.

Reluctant purchase but product is great
OK, this heatsink should have been included with the asustor SSD NAS but Asus chose to nickel and dime customers and force customers to purchase heatsink. Well, the they fit perfectly and works well. You can't get 3rd party heatsink for Asus SSD NAS. So, this is basically your only option.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid M.2 Heatsink Set – Screw Mounting Is a Big Plus I bought the Asustor AS-HK1 M.2 Heatsink mainly to improve cooling in my Asustor Flashstor, but it turned out to be even more useful than expected. The heatsinks fit perfectly and installation is straightforward. Cooling performance is good and helps keep NVMe SSD temperatures stable during continuous use. A big advantage is that the SSDs are secured with screws instead of plastic clips. In my case, the original Asustor mounting clips had broken, so this kit solved the problem completely. The drives now stay firmly in place, which feels much safer and more reliable than the stock clip system. Overall, this is a well-designed and practical accessory for Asustor systems. Not just for better cooling, but also an excellent fix if your original M.2 clips are damaged. Highly recommended for Asustor Flashstor users.

Perf s CTN, they brought my drive temperature down to room temperature.

I used these for the Asustor Flashstor 6 FS6706T, they are easy to fit and come supplied with everything you need to install them without any fuss. I'm not sure if they've made a massive difference in temps on my NVME drives as wasn't using it without prior to installing them, but for peace of mind plus coupled with the fan that sits above the NVME drives I feel more comfortable with them being there. Populating all the drive bays on the NAS won't be cheap, therefore putting things in perspective it's a small price to pay to ensure temps are kept lower than they should be if they weren't present.
