Made a hard job EASY, for real
OK, this gate kit IS really easy. As per another review that mentioned rusting screws, I replaced the screws in the kit with my own when I made my gate. Because the kit is so good, I still rate it 5 stars because it saved me so much hassle, even with me providing my own screws. I actually still cannot believe I made a working gate and everything worked out the first time and nothing needed to be redone or adjusted, since I have never done a project like that before. It also seems super strong, as I made mine with really heavy wood and there was zero problem in terms of handling that. It also came with a drill bit and a screw tip thing for the drill. See? I don't even know what those screw tip drill things are even called AND I STILL ACED THE BUILD!! That is how easy this kit is! You need an electric drill and a flat surface, that is it. 7 YEARS LATER UPDATE: THIS THING IS SOLID!!! It works just as great as when I made it - nothing is loose, good strong gate, hinges work perfectly. Seriously I AM SO PROUD I MADE THIS THING EVERY SINGLE TIME I LOOK AT IT!!! 🤩

Great item for anyone with the right tools.
Product worked perfectly. Read the instructions twice and the build time will be easier as it looks so simple you will want to rush. A 5-6" extension bit for the power screwdriver makes this far easier as some of the cross spans interfere with shoving the driver in close. Measure twice and cut once of course on the 2 x 4's. I had to use a dead blow hammer to get some fitted into the hinge side, but snug is good. I was tempted to give 4 not 5 stars for these considerations, but the price is right and I imagine anyone who is going to build their own gate has the basics for this. So in the "make it easier" school, have the 5" Philips bit and a hammer ( dead blow is best ) ready.

Good product, requires careful assembly for best results.
Good quality product. Measure carefully when installing or building your gate. Pre-drill pilot holes for the screws that are included, as some of the screw hole positions are close to the edge of the 2x4's. I also angled the pilot holes slightly away from the edges to prevent the screws from possibly splitting the wood. Be careful to use the bevel head screws for the hinge areas as if you use the pan head screws the hinges may not fully close and you'll have to take it all apart. Using an impact screw gun is very helpful also. I'm not sure of the quality of screws that are provided in how they will hold up being used in treated lumber over the long term. Some of the screws are already beginning to rust and have only been out in the weather for about 60 days at this point (see photos). You can easily use your own provided screws that are the correct size and are rated for use with treated lumber. I found that the hinge side brackets were just about 1/8" too narrow to fit a standard 2x4, and I had to notch out the 2x4 to allow the brackets to fit properly- not a huge issue but might cause someone frustration if they only have a circular saw to work with... I have a table saw so it was a 30 sec resolution... I added a cable and turnbuckle to really make sure that this would be a 'no-sag' gate install, but I think for most smaller gates up to about 3 feet wide that this gate kit would not sag. My gate shown in the pictures is about 48" wide, so I just wanted to be sure... The supplied screws to me seem to be too short to really carry the load of a typical gate, so I'd suggest that you replace at least one or two of the screws in each hinge plate with longer 3" or long long deck screws for maximum durability... I've used 2 of these kits for 4 foot gates and I bought 2 more for a pair of 5 foot gates that I need to rebuild. It is quick to assemble, but takes a little longer in reality than their assembly video leads you to believe. Overall, looks like a quality product but must be carefully assembled to get the best results.

These made building doors for my shop a breeze.
These are so easy to use and helped me make double doors for my shop. All you need are two by fours. The result is a sturdy, non-sagging door. I used plywood for the door face, added handles and a sliding door lock. It's been in use for a while now and still working like new.

Nice Gate Kit
I bought two kits to make a double gate 8 foot wide....I made one 47 and the other 48 and they align perfectly....its a nice stout kit, straight forward and easy to assemble and I'm pretty confident its going to do the job well. They recommend pre-drilling screw holes and even provide the drill bit and the hex bit for the screw heads in each package. The gates I made hold wooden pickets which along with the 2x4s adds weight but they open and close easily and glide nicely...If I need more, I'll buy them again....My seller was a good one too.

Very good product
Easy to work with the seller. I ordered 2 sets and on was broken. Replaced the broken one the next day. I was very pleased that the return was so quick. It did not delay my project. As far as using the item, very easy to install and one helpful tip i got from YouTube was the width of your gate, you need to subtract 3/4 of an inch. This will give you a real nice fit with very little gap between the post and gate.

Works as advertised, but QC needs improvement
I used this product about 6 years ago when I built a deck and was quite satisfied with it. I just built another deck at a new home I purchased and used the same product again. Pro's: - Works as advertised. Original gate I used it on only sagged about 1/2" over six years, and some of that could be due to the wood shrinking, swelling, etc. - Easy to use. Even an inexperienced homeowner should be able to build a gate using the brackets. Con's" - Quality Control needs to be improved at the factory. Both times I purchased this, at least one of the brackets was welded off center. The most recent one had one bracket off center and another was bent. The bend looks like it happened before painting because the paint was undamaged. - Mounting hardware is light duty. Most gates anyone would build will have some heft to them. The hardware included in the box for mounting the hinges is too light to support such a gate. Additionally, it is standard carbon-steel so when used in pressure treated lumber, it will eventually corrode away due to the chemicals used in pressure treatment. Do yourself a favor and buy stainless steel fasteners to use when building your gate. Overall, a good product that can be a great product with sime minor adjustments.
