It's a bit idealized in the sense that every suspect is always in one place with one weapon at any time, which isn't always the case in real life - but crucially, there are no page numbers in the book for the puzzles even though the index mentions page numbers where each difficulty level begins. Apart from that drawback, it's a great book, and fun for some everyday mental stimulation.
