5 Pairs Tailgate Handle Rod Clip Left & Right for 1999-2007 Chevy Silverado GMC Sierra Rod Retainer Clips, OEM Handle Replacement 88981030, 88981031

I purchased these Tailgate Handle Rod clips to replace the one that broke on my 2003 GMC. The Rod clips were easy to install once I figured out how to mont the clip to the Rod or better yet, put the clip in hole then clip to the rod. Unfortunately, no installation instructions came with the package. However they worked great the color code helped to establish the difference between left and right. They seem to be durable they look good and the plastic material was easy on your fingers. They were worth purchasing. I would recommend to friends and colleagues.

These worked perfectly to repair my 2008 tailgate. And I have spares if needed or for sharing. Might be able to use these for other gadgets too.

Older Chevy pickups have a know issue with the bed door handle either not opening the bed without lots of lifting on the handle, or the handle simply not working an all. These parts are in fact the issue, and usually just one of the two is broken. I’d say these parts are a bit more “rigid” than the OM parts, but I do not know that it makes much difference. If you can do basic DIY stuff you honestly don’t need any tools to install these clip-on parts (YouTube), and these parts solve this common problem. I keep a spare set in my 06 Duramax center console all the time. You can purchase from dealer, but plan on paying far too much for the same part. These have worked for many years for me!

Very fast delivery, product works & functions as designed. I think it is as good as the OEM part, if it last as long as the OEM part. However I am surprise some one has not made a spring steel clip to replace the OEM design. They would last a life time & be easer to install. However until GM & other Mfg, design & build parts to last the life of the vehicle. We will continue to replace these plastic parts every couple years or so.

These are really good price for as many as they send. They seems to be made of a durable plastic, easy to install and arrived fast and on time.

It's a shame GM can't make these out of metal. These are a good replacement for when the originals inevitably break.
