Great holds up wood shelves.

These are an improvement over the pins that came with my Ivar shelving. I like these so much that I came here to order twice as many and replace the ones I have left.After wrestling with those pins for nearly 30 years, it's a huge relief to not have to get out the vice grips and hammer to try to battle with the too tight pins just to make a small change.Still love my Ivar shelves - and these pins make them even better.

FOr some reason the sizing is weird and didn't fit perfectly

If you're looking at this listing, you're likely in the same situation as I was in: one of these slipped free while you were adjusting a shelf and rolled off somewhere. The good news is, there's 24 of them in this pack to save you. The better news is that they'll stay in the peg hole better if you wrap the tip in a bit of tape so they fit snugly.That aside, these are pretty much as you expect: they'll fit into the peg hole (loosely) and are short enough to not bump against the stopper in the newer style of shelf (with the plastic channel guide).

As someone else mentioned in another review, always good to have some extra pins on hand to put shelves together -- especially after moving.

Exactly what we needed!

I'd lost the pins for my IVAR Ikea shelves when we moved to an area that doesn't have an Ikea near bye. These pins worked perfectly.
