Great choice of oil.

I still have my mom's 1993 Buick roadmaster limited with 350k miles on it. It has a good bit of engine wear but still runs like a top. Using sae 30 oil, oil pressure cold 30 psi and after running a bit it drops to 12 -15 psi which is far lower than I am comfortable with. The same 50 brought oil pressure cold up to 55 psi cold and 30 psi fully warmed up. This is in Southeast Texas area with spring time temperatures lows around 50 degrees F and highs near 90 degrees F. This is for fair to warm weather operation. Too thick for winter ❄️ climate. Of course here in Texas our climate is mild in winter and HOT 🔥 in summer months. The higher oil pressure denotes full oil gallery lubrication throughout the engine even top side rocker arms and lifters. I primarily drive the car in summer months. It has R-12 air conditioning that will freeze you out in triple digit heat. No other AC I know of works like this does 👍. It rides like a fluffy cloud smooth over the road, and will haul, when needed. This is a good quality oil for the purpose I need it for. 73 GOD bless Earnest k5ewm 👍🇺🇲👍.

Got this for breaking in my new Champion Generator. After trying 3 automotive stores, plus two Home Improvement stores that carried oil, struct out at every one to find any 10-30W oil. Newer cars these days are using lower viscosity oils in the 0-20 and 0-30 range and it seems a lot of local retailers stock those oils instead. I went to Amazon and bingo!......found this and ordered it immediately. Valvoline is a trusted brand and I've used it for many years in various gas engine and I was delighted to find it at Amazon where I've shopped before when I could not find an item locally. I'll use this oil container up for the next 3-4 oil changes and very likely, order more since my lawn tractor and snowblower use the same weight was well If you use conventional oil over synthetic or synthetic blends, this Valvoline is worth considering!

So first off this is no way a hate on Valvoline Oil, I have always used Valvoline and it truly is some of the best oil money can buy. Now that being said, its almost impossible to find 10-w30 conventional on the shelves anymore, so I have resorted to online purchases. I bought the 3 pack of 5 qts, and when they showed up, two of the 5 qt jugs had started leaking out of the sealed cap! I lost about 1/4 qt in two of them but one seemed just fine. Whats odd is when I opened the ones that were leaking and cracked the seal, i heard air come out so I am not sure how the oil managed to leak out. But this is something Valvoline needs to be aware of, and also Amazon drivers. Had I not been home this would have leaked all over my concrete porch and Oil is a PAIN to get out of that. So other than this, great stuff.

I have been trying to find a straight 40 weight oil for an older vehicle. Bought this in hopes that it would be okay. Got it and I am glad. Valvoline is a great oil for older cars.
