DO NOT USE IN FIREPLACES OR WOOD BURNERS!
I used these bricks to line my small wood burner, the bricks fall apart very quickly, they have split and crumbled and the whole lot needs replacing. Very disappointing. The supplier's description would lead you to believe that the product is 'tough, robust' to be used in 'fireplaces'. This is not the case. When I wrote to complain about their performance, they replied 'not for use inside a fire they are only used on the outside' - they did not advise as to how you would fit them to the outside of a fire...

Good but could be better
The product itself seems to do its job, stops heat passing through it so is an ideal barrier. But sadly each slab had what appeared to be remnants of tape stuck to them which meant each item needed cleaning prior to use. It does cut with a Stanley knife but isn't the cleanest of cuts - it would likely work best with a jigsaw (although may crack). It's worth noting when cutting them they create substantial mess and dust so be aware.

Great quality board
Amazing fire board, very high quality. Was used at the back of a forge to increase internal temperature and withstood those temperatures. Will definitely work very well in a stove

So far fine but not tested as yet with full long fire
Got these to line an old steel box I am converting into a fire box and they fit in very well. The top of the bin will be left unlined so the kettle, etc., can be placed on top and one side is the opening to make the fire doesn't need one. As yet have not actually lit a full fire inside, as I want to find something that will partially cover the open area as a door, maybe an old small grate for the bottom and place something on top to hold kettle. Just place a few coals and some twigs inside to see how well they hold up, and so far, so good, as the bottom and sides did not become hot They feel rather flimsy but have stood up to being placed inside the box fine and actually fit quite snugly together, so I have not tried to cut them.

Don't bother buying
What a waste of money haven't lasted long as soon as the heat gets to them they cracked then when heat was on for long period of time they started to crumble into little pieces. Have had to order another lot of panels to replace these. Not worth the money they cost not even worth a 1 star rating.
