Nice, great for the bbq

Saw these and ordered. Arrived in about 10 days from China so quick delivery. First impressions is that the packaging is that although they are bubble wrapped they're just put into a normal plastic mailbag so can get damaged in transit but mine were ok. Upon opening them they were intact and straight. They seem sturdy although metal thickness doesn't look that thick/heavy duty they seem well made and strong and open and close well with a hook/push pull mechanism to open or close/lock them. Also mine don't have the Mountain Gorillaz logo on them but never the less seem ok again for the price can't really argue.

In my mind BBQ'ing - when done properly - is all about being in control and with these tongs I feel like I am in total control. They look premium in the drawer and they feel premium in hand. Even when you're close in over a high heat your hands don't burn and the hinge that holds them apart is firm and well engineered (unlike previous purchases i've made). I had the silicon tipped tongs before and they were a nightmare to clean and TBH why do you need the silicon at all given you're never going to hold the tips?! Whether you're cooking meat, prawns, pepper or fish - no matter how fiddly - these tongs are great for the control you need to make sure things cook properly without burning. Very happy indeed. Now all we need is the weather to turn so I can get outside and do some proper BBQ'ing.

Just what I was looking for!

Easy to use, easy to clean and useful lock that keeps them shut and easier to manage. The top of the lock has a ring so I can hang it up easily - check out my pictures to see what I mean. I use the smaller ones everyday in my kitchen so not just for bbq grilling. Non-slip grip helps when my hands get a bit on the messy side, which happens a lot with me. Think I probably need to improve my technique LOL. Sturdy, strong and excellent price, definitely recommend. And the video cracked me up. Deep down, I AM that Mountain Gorilla LOL

They are a little lightweight for my taste, but they do the job and are sturdy enough to not flex. The larger tongs are the better for BBQ, the small ones don't open very far and are of limited use. They are good enough, but when it comes time to replace I'll be looking for something a bit sturdier.

Le petit crochet sert aussi libérer ou resserrer les pinces. Ajoutez une paire de gants anti chaleur et vous serez paré pour des barbecues de folies. Tres bons choix

UPDATE: After contacting the seller, they quickly replaced the tongs - excellent customer service. As a precaution, I've placed a few drops of oil on the springs and will make sure to dry them before putting away. Hopefully, they'll last a long time. These are really the best tongs I've used, very heavy duty. and the longer pair is my favorite, as my Big Green egg can get pretty hot, the length keeps my hands away from the flames! Thanks again Mountain Grillers for the excellent service! ***** When I first got these, I thought they were the bomb! Now, 1 year later, the springs on both have rusted out. Everything about the tongs are awesome, i even noticed the springs were heavy duty, BUT, after only a year, the springs have rusted, making the tongs pretty useless. Hoping the manufacturer will replace them.
