Works on 2009 Ford Escape liftgate button
I was having issues with the rear liftgate on my 2009 Ford Escape. The latch would turn on and off by itself, like it was stuck on a loop. Even after unplugging the connectors to the latch, it would still drain my battery, because there is another cable that supplies power to the buttons for the lift glass and liftgate. Anyway, this replacement part worked just fine for the liftgate button. Installation is cumbersome, but I think anyone can do it as long as you have the tools and patience. There are videos on how to replace the button too.

Fits My 2011 Ford Escape. Installation Was Easy But Recommend Watching Youtube Videos
This part fit my 2011 Ford Escape main liftgate latch. I had to remove the tailgate interior paneling and the actuator to install this, but it really was pretty easy. The trunk release switch has worked great for the two weeks since I installed it.

Successfully Repaired Expedition Hatch Button!!!
Successfully replaced defective button which opens the back hatch of Ford Expedition. Purchased part & found body shop who replaced it for us at no charge. Process took just a few minutes, with minimal work. Dealer quoted almost $400 to replace part. Definitely saved a LOT of money by not having dealer do repair. Very pleased it worked!
