Seems like an objectively good case but mine has what appears to be black grease on several places.

I received a ReMarkable 2 from work for Christmas, and after seeing ReMarkable's price for their covers, I can understand why my employer decided to gift the tablet alone. Fortunately, this E NET-CASE has come to the rescue. While this E NET-CASE is not top-grain leather, by no means is it a step down. PU (polyurethane) leather has an organic, substantive, denim-like feel, and without knowing otherwise, you'd swear the protective interior is top-quality suede. Furthermore, this E NET-CASE brings three big advantages to the table: First, your stylus will no longer dangle on the side of your device when in tow (see photo), but since the stylus remains magnetically attached to the tablet, you're virtually guaranteed to never lose it. Second, your ReMarkable fits securely into the E NET-CASE's 'shell', which provides edge-to-edge protection without impeding the tablet's usefulness. Finally, the rotating easel-like stand provides multiple viewing angles and is great for situations where you're using the ReMarkable for a reader as much as a writing device. Clamshell case is securely fastened to the cover by a large grommet (see photo) and is sure to hold up under all but the most rigorous use. Downsides? Really, none that I can think of. In fact, this is the second ReMarkable case I've reviewed, and it is far and away my favorite. Unless you're the 'big Kahuna' at your outfit and demand the sophisticated boardroom look of top-grain leather, then do yourself a favor and procure this less costly and much more useful case. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

If you are reading this, then you must have a Remarkable, and you must have a pen that is not cheap! I have the $99.00 pen that erases. I have dropped this pen more than once. Every time, my heart skips a beat. If you have a cover from remarkable, then you know that the pen just magnetizes on the side of the remarkable and is covered a little. This case has a spot for the pen, and it still magnetizes to the side of the remarkable. It is safe and secure in the pen spot. The case does have other features, like self-standing and spinning so you can use in portfolio mode. I can do without these features, but I am sure they are good for those who like to have an easel to draw in portfolio mode.
