Smokey Mountain Herbal Long Cut – 5 Can Sampler Box - Straight, Classic, Wintergreen, Arctic Mint & Cherry - Tobacco Free and Nicotine Free Snuff

Not usually one to leave reviews but this one deserves it. Been smoke free/tobacco free since being diagnosed with COPD ten years ago. This had the smell, taste, and bite of the real deal. The molasses as sweetener also cuts whatever adult beverage you are drinking at the time (science). Highly recommend this for anyone looking to kick the habit, or those of us that just missed the taste.

So I've been chewing 5 cans of Skoal a week for the past 15 years. I tried quitting using nicotine gum and all that did was make me sick. I figured I would try this stuff in combination with the nicotine patch to see if I could quit chewing. So far it has worked like a charm. This stuff is pretty close to the real thing. And, when combined with the nicotine patch (in my case 2 21 mg patches) there is no perceptible difference between chewing Skoal and this stuff. So far I have been off chew for 7 weeks and haven't cheated once. I've been dropping my patches by 7 mg every 3-4 weeks with no withdrawal symptoms whatsoever. The patches ensure I don't have actual PHYSICAL withdrawals (which...when chewing almost a can a day...can really mess you up) and the Smokey Mountain Snuff fills that psychological need to put in a chew during certain "trigger" situations (after eating, taking a dump, at the shooting range, etc.). Thank you Smokey Mountain. The texture, flavor and "feeling" of this stuff is legit. Ya'll may have saved my life. 6/14/18 - Still chew free and now I only grab a chew from a Smokey Mountain can every other day or so. When my buddies chew around me now, the smell of actual Skoal or Cope smells horrible to me. I'm amazed I used to put that stuff in my mouth. 3/4/19 - Still clean and i haven’t used this stuff in 6 months. No cravings, no desire to chew...time cures all habits folks...with some help. 1/24/21 - Still clean after...what...4 years? Dentist said my gums stopped receding and are back to normal again. My teeth are back to normal. No heartburn. It’s awesome. Not to sound like an ad but - thank you Smokey Mountain.

The arctic mint tastes the closest to real dip theres basically no difference taste wise, the straight is kinda close but leaves a lot to be desired compared to the taste of real straight dip, the cherry tastes really good but no really comparable to any dips ive ever had. The natural tastes disgusting and nothing like dip whatsoever, and the wintergreen is so-so. The mouth feel is similar to actual dip but a tad but difference. Overall I think this is decent substitute for those trying to quit or slow down on real dip.

Looking for a dip substitute and tried this. Don't like the flavor so I added a little Kentucky bourbon. Works fine and keeps me from craving Cope.

Can someone please tell me how in the name of sweet *hell* you dont have a destroyed gum line after using this stuff? I thought years ago when I used this stuff when I tried to kick the Kodiak habit it was just me. ITS NOT!. 2 evenings of this..different flavors...less than 10 hours. Gums are raw....tongue destroyed....so waited 5 days without touching this stuff. 20 minutes of use. Gums weren't healed fully. Now back to tongue and gums feeling like I dipped fiberglass. Flavor is great. I dont get how this isnt happening to anyone else.

These definitely taste and feel like the real thing, especially the smell and taste of the wintergreen and the straight, they are literally exactly identical to the real thing. I love this product, definitely getting more of the wintergreen

First off let me preface my review with the fact that I dipped two cans of snuff per day for thirty five years. I had been wanting to quit for a few years but it wasn't until I required a surgical procedure did I finally take the position to quit. My surgeon refused to perform the procedure until I had been nicotine free for a few months. I tried patches and just dipped the same amount and took patches. I tried the gum and nothing. I tried a couple of different prescriptions and nothing. The problem I had was one, I needed something in my jaw, two, the amount of nicotine my body craved from a two can a day habit none of the cessation products could help curb the craving. My brand of choice has always been Copenhagen Long Cut Straight. While I've tried pretty much every brand of snuff there is I've always liked the straight flavors and always preferred long cut. So what I decided to do was find a product that was a close substitute in the texture, taste, but safe from nicotine and I would take the Rx Chantix and start reducing the dips to nicotine free dips. What I can strongly say to anyone considering this product as a cessation or just looking for a safer alternative is this. This product is a perfect match to the texture of most major brands long cut, the flavor of the straight I would say is closer to Skoal straight than Copenhagen straight but it's very close. Now, while I have always been a straight flavor fan and I hate the smell of wintergreen and mint I was given a can of Smokey Mountain Long Cut Wintergreen to try and let me say if wintergreen is your jam and you like the pack of long cut I highly recommend that version by this company. The only problem with this product is it is hard to find in the retail setting. Could be a geographical location for me but occasionally I will see the wintergreen in certain gas stations but never the straight flavor so I buy off Amazon. I hope this review is helpful to others. I have been nicotine free now for three months and I know for certain if it were not for this product I would not have been able to successfully quit.

From Canada. ...finally! As a "dipper" or "chewer" of Scoal and Copenhagen products for over 40 years, Smokey Mountain has created this natural substitute that is helping me eliminate the habit. I first heard of this replacement through my son. I have tried to no avail to eliminate my bad habit numerous times. Hesitant at first, I decided to try Smokey Mountain. The taste was not too bad and the texture was all right. Of course, the nicotine wasn't present so it required a little "mixture" to get me through the rough times. At first, I dipped Smokey and then transferred to Copenhagen. Back and forth...from one to the other. This continued for a short period of time and then I actually mixed the 2 products together. This seemed to curb the desire to use more Copenhagen then Smokey, plus, the nicotine that I was craving slowly disapated. It has now been 3 weeks and I am happy to announce that I am down 2/3 of my Copenhagen intake. My one request to the manufacturer of Smokey would be to grind the natural dip a little more. I was never one to dip "rough cut" and always preferred the "snuff" cut. I find that Smokey is just a little bit too rough to the point where it does effect my gums a little. All in all, I am thrilled with this product. I am spending a great deal less money on the "duty paid" American tobacco then on the Canadian made Smokey Mountain. At some point soon, I hope to be nicotine free. I understand that everyone is different when it comes to addiction and I know that the nicotine hooked me pretty good.
