Great Colours!
I've previously owned the 25 set, so know that these are good student oil pastels, but I wanted a more extensive colour range. I'm over-joyed with the colours in the 50 set: not only do you get 2 extender pastels, but the set contains some great colours for painting cats: lots of natural earth tones, browns, creams, and oranges (for ginger cats); there are lots of surprises in the other colours too: olive greens and gorgeous blues (great for blue kitten eyes), and some extra reds. If you need a good student set at the top end of the range (these don't quite make it into the expensive 'artist' category) I recommend these, especially for wildlife and landscapes.

nice oil pastels
I bought these to use for underpainting with my more expensive oil pastels. They work very well and I thought they were very good for the money

Used by art class
I bought these as they are what is used by the art class I’m attending. I am just a beginner but they’re easy to use, feel nice, blend well and the colours are great. The picture is the very first oil pastel work I’ve done.

Good for beginners
Very creamy and a lot easier to blend than the other oil pastels I have. Also a lovely colour assortment. They arrived earlier than expected.

As a professional Artists, these Cray-Pas Expressionist pastels are a bit firm but easy to blend. They have excellent pigment quality and are light fast. I would but them between Sennelier being the Softest Oil pastel then in the middle is Cray -Pas Expressionist, along with Mungyo and Holbein then Cray- Pas Specialists being the hardest. These Cray-Pas can be bought in sets and found as well as singles to purchase, I use them as final layers or as the whole painting, their cost is excellent to make an every day product to use in your art work.
