I work full time remotely and have been using this alongside the lumbar support and foot rest from the same company. Together they've made an enormous difference to my everyday comfort, physical health, and productivity. The seat cushion fits perfectly on my office chair and its contours align nicely with my body. Firmness is wonderful, being not TOO much but dense enough to provide plenty of support while having just the right amount of give to feel almost plush while seated on it. The shape and materials disperse pressure evenly and even help me to maintain a better seated posture. I have a lot of pain from musculoskeletal and nerve issues in my back and spine and this helps so much as I sit at my desk throughout the day as well as just being comfy in general.

We eat dinners in the family room while watching a movie and sit on an old couch with a coffee table that raises to table height. I am 77 years old and sitting on the worn and flattened cushions of the couch was causing pain in my hips so that it was difficult to walk for a bit when I got up from the couch. By the end of a 2-hour movie, my legs were uncomfortable, beginning to ache, and felt like the blood supply was cut off from them because the couch cushion flattened so that the frame of the couch was hitting the back of my thigh. Since we haven't found time to get out to find a replacement couch, I turned to Amazon to find a temporary solution. I ordered this "butt cushion" in addition to 4 others in hopes that one of them would relieve the discomfort of sitting on our couch. I wanted something firm enough to overcome the flattening of the old couch cushions, but, it trying the different cushions, I found that shape and size is also important. Since I weigh 112 lbs., most of the cushions I ordered were firm enough, but the support offered by each was different. Some flattened after a short time, and some just weren't very comfortable because of the shape. This cushion is more expensive than the others I tried, but saving money at the expense of less comfort wasn't an option. I have been using this cushion every night for over a week, and no longer have the hip pain when I get up from the couch. The leg discomfort is also gone. The 4 other cushions have been returned. Since I weigh 112 lbs., I can't vouch for how this cushion would hold up to more weight, but it works for me and I am happy with it. UPDATE 07/30/24: I have been using this "butt cushion" every evening for at least 3 hours for the last 2 months, and I wouldn't want to do without it. In this time, it has not flattened at all, is very supportive, and perfectly fits the contour of my butt and thighs so I no longer get pains in my hips and legs from sitting on our old couch. You would think that finding a suitable cushion to sit on would be an easy task. In my experience of trying different cushions, I found that the perfect cushion is a very personal thing. Not only does it have to supply a comfortable firmness for support, but it must conform to your individual "butt contour". It is often necessary to try more than one to find the one that is perfect for you. This cushion is all that for me. UPDATE 12/16/24: I have now been using this cushion on my couch to sit on for over 6 months. It is still as supportive as it was when new, and has not flattened at all. Since using it, I have not had pains in my hips or legs after sitting on the couch. The cushion is so comfortable, we have put off getting a new couch. I suppose this is the only down side to having a comfortable cushion to sit on. I hope this review was helpful for you.

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and my home office chair is a cheap one off Amazon. My hips and back are killing me after sitting for so many hours. I bought this as it was recommended in a pregnancy group I’m in, and I’m pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t take away all the pain, but I notice a huge difference now - I’ve been using it for several days and there’s less pain when I stand up. It’s comfy to sit on, didn't have a smell, and seems to be of good quality. It’s memory foam so it fluffs back up when I stand up. Seems like it will hold up well - we’ll see. I only have 14 more weeks of needing it anyway. For the cost, I would buy again!

I have lower back pain and this cushion helps, no pain when using it. I’m going to take it when traveling distances, it’s comfortable. A little pricey that’s why 4 stars

I had been dealing with terrible lower back pain due to all the sitting I was doing during the week. Driving 90 minutes hours to work, sitting for 7 hours at a desk, then driving over 90 minutes hours home. I was basically in tears at the end of each work day due to the pain. I tried a lower back pillow but it just made things worse. I was also dealing with hemorrhoids and was looking for a seat cushion to reduce discomfort. This cushion appeared to check all the boxes. I was on the fence about buying due to the price but it has been worth every penny. I’ve been sitting on the cushion when I drive and when i am at my desk at work. I’m considering buying another so I don’t have to carry it to and from the car into work, as it’s quite a big cushion. My back pain has improved by 80%. The pain is nowhere near where it was and I’m no longer in tears at the end of the day. It’s very comfortable and it stays put which is great while driving. It does get super stiff when it’s cold out and i leave it in the car overnight but it doesn’t take long to get soft again. Highly recommend this cushion to anyone who sits a lot and experiences back pain.

Very comfortable and breathes well. Does not get warm after sitting on it for many hours, and it springs back to its original shape as soon as you stand up. Makes a hard chair feel like a cushiony recliner, easing any pain in your rear. This item looks high quality, and feels no less. The memory foam is high quality and soft. Use it for any of your chairs around the house. It also makes you sit slightly taller, if that is a feature you would appreciate.

I fractured my sacrum on both sides and damaged those ligaments to the coccyx 12 years ago after a fall on ice. If I sit too much, I still sometimes have pain flare up that lasts for weeks or months, I’ve tried numerous different therapeutic cushions. This arrived yesterday and I can already tell it’s the best cushion I’ve tried yet. I’m in the middle of a pain cycle now, but sat for one hour in complete comfort yesterday. It seems the perfect combination of support and softness. The curve at the back is ideal. I took a chance, thinking it was rather expensive, but knowing it could be returned. It was worth the cost! And the delivery was within a few hours of ordering. Highly recommend.

I purchased this Cushion Lab and a similar Comfi Life to address this particular problem on a scooter. At home, I preferred the Comfi Life because of the larger coccyx cut-out, and it seemed a bit softer. But it did not fit well on the Golden Companion seat, and it made a 'canyon effect' under the thighs where it suddenly ended and dropped off. Painful. It needs to taper more. In contrast, this Cushion Lab just happened to fit on, and cover, the whole seat better. We took it for a test ride over the BUMPY sidewalks, and then removed it. WOW! Without it, it felt like sitting on a board, and the bumps were much more jarring. It definitely helps, although it's not perfect. The newest Golden Companions are supposed to have better suspension---well worth it if you can afford it. But this is a good solution for us for now. If you have back disc issues, I would recommend it.
