Doesn’t work, sent back. Poor build quality
Doesn’t work, switches it’s self off and on. Poor built quality not worth the price tag. Good connectivity.

Slower than a cheap smartphone
On 5G: ~200 kbps upload and ~20 Mbps download (on a good day). For comparison my €200 smartphone on the same network and SIM consistently reaches ~40 Mbps upload and ~300 Mbps download. On 4G: The Netgear manages only about half the speed of my phone and is even slower than my 10-year-old Huawei 4G MiFi. Given that I paid nearly 5 times more for the Netgear, this performance is unacceptable. I figured out eventually that support from Netgear requires registering the device first, otherwise you are pushed to pay for premium support.

Pricey but amazing
Great range and works well. Keep it mostly in the boot of the car for WiFi on the go for my laptop and iPad. Easier than tethering to my phone.

Amazing Router
This is an expensive, but amazing piece of kit. I bought this to use in our motorhome as i will sometimes work on the road and need a reliable connection. I'm using it in Ireland with an Eir 5G sim card and I'm getting over 100mbs download and around 25mbs upload. Very pleased with it

Expected a lot more for this price
On paper it seems like it should be worth the high price. I like the fact you can attach an antenna and that it's 5G capable. However, after a year of using it for trips away I thought I'd share my experience. Firstly, the M6 takes an age to start (2 mins+). This might not be such an issue if it didn't require a restart after almost any configuration change. Also, if you plug it in to charge it starts up automatically, meaning you have to then wait until it's started before you can turn it off (into charging only). Secondly, it frequently overheats even under quite limited load and when the ambient temperature is not high. This is simply not acceptable for a "professional" router that is 10x the price of some others. Thirdly, the settings are a complete pain, whether you use the touch screen, mobile app (requires a SIM to be inserted to work), or web UI. Why is this stuff so badly done? I would expect it on a £50 router but not one retailing at around £700-800! Fourthly, speeds are difficult to assess as dependent on many factors, but without the antenna in general use I'd say they are below my expectations. Lastly, Netgear recently sent out an "urgent" notification of a security issue via email and requested the firmware is updated. They failed to provide details of what the latest firmware is, the one listed on their website is older than that currently on the device and after multiple contacts with support they still seem unable to tell me what the latest firmware version is! I will definitely be continuing my search for a 5G mobile router that supports an external antenna.

DO NOT BUY
Absolute piece of junk and not fit for purpose. Constantly shuts down due to overheating, despite being used outside and in a well ventilated area (beside a football field), with only one device connected. DO NOT BUY..!!
