WPL is AWESOME!!
There is so much to say about this truck that I actually don't even know what to say. This thing is awesome, especially for the price! This is their "new and improved" ready to run (RTR) version too which means you get proportional steering and metal gears right out of the box! The axles and suspension links and such are still plastic, but the frame rails are metal. Out of the box this thing is shockingly capable, way more than people have given it credit for in the past. If you are a beginner in the RC world and looking for a crawler that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, this is definitely my recommendation. If you are a more experienced RC enthusiast and want something that is a fun build/upgrade project then I would also highly recommend a WPL. The only negative I have about this truck, is that you can get it directly from WPL's website for usually a fair bit cheaper. Other than the price difference, the actual WPL website also allows you to pick whether you want a ready to run version, or a kit to build yourself. They also offer lots of upgrades that are also usually much cheaper. The only trade off is going to be the shipping times. The customer service from WPL is actually surprisingly amazing and same goes for their warranty policies and such. Overall I would highly recommend this truck to literally anyone, new or highly experienced that wants something capable and upgradeable, and fun but doesn't cost too much.

IMPRESSIVE quality
Really impressed with the quality and function of this little rc. didnt have high hopes, but was pleasantly surprised at how well it handled and performed. Traction was exceptional , better than some name brand trucks i've had. Only complaint is that accessory and upgrade options. You MUST only get them from them, all the knockoffs do not fit right, interfere with suspension components, dont allow steering to operate correctly, so if you are going to upgrade, use ONLY the manufacurers stuff, they have all sorts of stuff including metal axles, etc.

Cheap Fun
I have been in the RC hobby for 40 years. This isn’t an all out Hobby grade competition crawler. The pictures are on a crawler course. The truck did OK. Controller is cheap and the truck is loose and sloppy. I have about 30 packs through it and it’s still going strong. My 4 year old has bashed it and dropped it a bunch times and it’s still running. It is a fun toy that shines in a trail ride setting. It can crawl but does have limits. I would recommend it for a first RC truck

Can’t get no support
My grandson loves the truck,it’s very realistic. But not long after he got it it would not start moving on its own, you have to give it a little nudge to get it moving. We sent messages on here at different places trying to get some help to fix it but no response back. I don’t know if this place will be of any help but it’s the only place we haven’t tried yet. He is very sad that the truck didn’t last very long and we haven’t been able to get any help with it and now it’s too late even if this message gets through to someone who cares. Thanks, Tim Holmes.

Good base to start from
Nice looking little truck, runs like garbage though, under powered, something in the drive train is binding enough to cause a wierd sputtering motion at lower speeds and a bad growing noise at higher speeds, and the suspension has a lot of slop in it. One the other hand, I bought it with the intention of pretty mcuh completely rebuilding the under carriage and wasn't expecting something all that capable out of the box, just something that looks decent to start a build and that's what I got.

Worked less than two hours...
We bought this for our son as a starter in the RC hobby. It arrived quickly, and after unboxing, he was up and running almost right away. Open played for 10 or so minutes with I last nigh, and about an hour or so (off and on) today. Then the the rear driveshaft snapped on it. We knew that this was now a high end product, but we were hoping that he would get more than an hour or so out of the toy. We will be returning it.

Very fun RC Rock crawler. In 113 degrees
For the money, it's very good. With some mods it flex's ok out of the box, mod's including hot glue the weak solder joints and the whole pcb bord In the truck, next was cutting the springs in the shocks to the get the ride height down this helped with the flex. The steering is via servo now 2022. I just googled if there is aftermarket support for this thing, well everything is upgradable with metal or carbon fiber parts very cool. I used to have a lot of RC hobby toys in the past but haven't had anything for a while now. On a whim bought this to mess around in my back yard here in Phoenix AZ while its 113 degrees outside. I build a course sit inside in my A/C and rock crawle, smoke a bowl with my headphones in. It's a blast !👍👍👍👍👍😂

Awesome little crawler for the price!
The description section of this item was all messed up and described a completely different item, but this review is for the WPL 1/16th scale red toyota RC truck. For the money this RC truck is great. Very detailed hard plastic body, metal chassis, solid axles, realistic drivetrain, etc. Its more of a crawler and not meant to be super fast but perfect for crawling. I think at the time I paid $45 which I thought was a great deal. My son liked it so much , I ended up buying the WPL B36 Army truck this year which he also loves!

Sweet way to get started into crawling especially with how cheap some upgrades are

**UPDATE** Was very excited to get this, shipping time was a bit better than I expected. I got it today, assembled it and charged up the battery. Truck headlights light up, controller LED lights up, but will not function. I will update if I get it to work. **UPDATE** I messaged the seller and told them the problem. They were very helpful and offered a new truck or a full refund. I am extremely happy with their customer service and support. They weren't satisfied until I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend this seller and will be purchasing more r/c vehicles from them in the future.

Controller is cheap quality but Overall a great little crawler motor isnt really powerful but it's good enough also opened up the axe covers to find all metal gears and brass bushings so that's a Plus

Plastic drive shaft broke and now doesnt drive. The ad says all terrain, but the drive shaft snapped crawling through sand. It's slower then 5km/h not 20km/h. Idk If I got a defective product or if it's the quality. Disappointed since this is my starter truck into RC. (Update) I replaced the driveshaft, and now the differential Pinion is broken. Disappointed, please help. No point of upgrading since it's gonna broke again.

I was super skeptical. Saw tones of older videos of how they “suck” and are not great. Then I saw videos of modded ones. And comparisons to similar scale. Yes they are cheap. But with some simple mods that are also cheap. You can have a very capable crawler. For 150$ you can buy the truck and upgrade tires suspension and driveshafts and it so far has been a little beast. Can’t beat the price. And if the electronics ever fail you could upgrade that as well. Highly recommend as a first crawler. Easy to work on if you have some mechanical knowledge and durable once upgraded to have some metal components. If you buy one buy metal driveshafts with it as they are the weakest point. Then I recommend metal links and shocks as well and do a angled shock setup for maximum flex. As seen in my photos. Go watch some videos on these modded or join a social media page to check some out. Buy one and you likely won’t regret it!
