The big reason to get this dish is for it's ease in cleaning. Some reptile foods can stain other types of bowls. This one cleans easy and complete due to the design and materials used. I use this dish in particular for wet foods and gourmet blends. Washing it is easy and I don't have to worry about left over liquids or foods getting stuck and staying in the dish causing mold issues or worse. Highly recommended for any pet reptile enclosure.

Perfect size for my 5vr old tortoise

I can say that it is the most affordable and beautiful product I have ever bought. Similar ones in other pet products stores cost more than 20 dollars and this one is very good quality and very cheap.

This is the food bowl I have always used for my Torts, they will discolor in 5 years, but they are sturdy and easy to clean. I highly recommend Zoo Med products they are tried and true for decades.

item: Zoomed Repti Rock "Reptile Food Dish" "FD-30 Medium" "made in USA". My opinions are Pros: a.1.) Best available for watering roach farms at this price. I water my dubias with "water cristals". Although other water dishes are available (for reptiles), dubia roach water dishes must be rough to permit all sizes of roaches to climb in and out and not be drowned. (The inside bottom is rough; the inside walls are less rough but rough enough for babies to climb, and the bottom of the dish is smooth). Water dishes for reptiles would be better suited for cleaning if made of ceramic, and ceramic products usually have a polished surface, instead of this rough surface. a.2.) I do not use this product for feeding my roach farms, instead I place a series of 2-row, horizontal egg flats on top of my vertical egg flats, big bowls side-up, and fill them with a finely grinded mazuri rat-mouse chow (most cheaply purchased in 20lb bags of pellets). The dish/es are placed on top of the food strips. I use 2-row strips because they can be stacked and moved easily when I need to harvest my dubia. Placing both food and water crystals on top leaves more room for vertical egg flats. b.) Dish does NOT leak and is NOT permeable to water. Although there are a few reviews that state they bought a dish which leaked, there is no leakage possible with this solid, melted, molded, recycled plastic dish. My guess is that those reports of leakage are based on confusion with some other product or, most likely, animal-caused spillage. The inside depth of this Medium sized dish is approx 9/16 inch, and the small dish is shallower. c.) The price of approx $8 is on first glance about $4 too expensive, but when I remember the old adage, "cheaper by the dozen", and factor in: shipping, advertising, and net profit, and after my time-consuming search on Amazon for a lower cost for an equivalent product, I was willing to pay the price, and I am glad that I did. d.) The product comes in 3 sizes, Small (2/pack), Medium (1/pack), and Large (1/pack). I have both Small and Medium sized products. Since I place the dishes on the top of my vertical egg cartons, the Large size is less likely than the Small size to tip and slide down. However, the two Small sized dishes can be located at the two ends of the roach container. Additionally, because the Medium is noticeably deeper than the Small, the contents last longer with the Medium. f.) Color: I was shipped a blackish, dark olive-green product, which is good for hiding dirt/stains. Cons: g.) Cleaning this dish: the manufacturer has not provided information as to whether or not the dish can be boiled in dish washing products, (the simplest way to remove most bacteria and organic garbage). h.) I would have preferred a dish with a rounded corners rectangle for easiler cleaning, instead of the many cornered blob, but I understand that reptile lovers who want to maintain a more naturally appearing environment need a dish which is more irregular.

I bought 2 dishes for having water for the squirrels, possums, birds, etc. They are great for the outdoor elements !
