This product has help define the dog my puppy has grown into. My puppy wasn't terrible at listening, but often was more distracted at what was going on around us when we were outside. It helped grab his attention and keep him focused on my instructions. I live where there are wild animals, cars, snakes and plenty of other things that could potentially hurt a curious pup. This has helped keep him from harm, that my voice alone would not have many times over. It may be a bit pricey but the durability and the quality speak for itself. As long as you keep an eye on the battery and use it as its intended it works great. I did buy some other collars to attach this to, to get the fit just right. I am very thankful for this product and my dog truly loves to wear it. Most of the time now I can just use a command without even using the collars features because he has it ingrained into him now. I never have to turn it up much and usually a quick buzz does the job.

We got a 4 year old rescue that turned out to be extremely reactive and aggressive to dogs and people. I was an adamant proponent of only positive reinforcement. We have had several sessions with an excellent trainer and have seen much improvement, but… Three months in our pup pulled my husband down, he lost the leash, and the dog went after a jogger in the park. Fortunately the jogger was able to stop the dog without injury to either of them but it was terrifying to think about what could have happened. We had been watching Tom Davis videos, at our trainers suggestion, so I gave in on the idea of an ecollar. I soon saw, after trying it on myself, that it feels like the tens machine I use for muscle pain (it does get pretty uncomfortable at higher levels). The level that works most times for our dog is one I do not even feel. Our trainer told us how to get started and calibrated the device for our dog. We opted for this model even thought it is larger/heavier than the mini because it had some additional features. We have used the boost function a couple of times and it was very helpful when our little guy was so agitated that he did not feel the regular sensation. The bottom line…after a couple weeks of use we passed numerous people and dogs on our walk today and he did not go full Cujo once! He ignored, or looked with some interest at passersby but responded well to my leash and verbal commands. When a dog started barking at him, he ignored my command but a single level 5 nic brought his attention back to me. We still have work to do, and I can not say enough about the importance of a good trainer to help you, but this can be an invaluable tool, even if you do not plan to have your dog off leash. I noticed that there are a number of returns noted for this item and I suspect it may be due to folks not taking the time to get the dog used to the collar and learning the proper use before expecting it to work. In any event, I heartily recommend training and using the tolls you need. For us, this was it!

This collar is very well built. I have a Doberman, very smart dog but he does get distracted a lot. He does love these collars, I love the range on it. He doesn't like the leash now. but will still wear it. Thinks hes a big boy now. (hes 1 year.) recall on the dog is amazing, doesn't respond to the low volt, I use the vibration, and he responds better the vibration, pups my vary :). Vibration : only have to tap 1. Shock: level don't work until 15 for my pup but don't like to use it. bungee system is very nice and easy :) (Little too long, for my Doberman, i have to put the extra part under the rest of the bungee so its not slapping him in the face.) Without collar: (Very distracted without collar) Tell him down - Yes Tell him sit - Yes Come - Yes and No Stay - on his time lol Listening for my dog is A+ before it was like a B With Collar: Works with collar on (Don't even need to press the buttons.) Tell him down - Yes Tell him sit - Yes Come - Yes Stay - Yes My pup loves collars, doesn't like me taking off his main to wash it. (I would just make sure that your dog is built for it. I have a American Bully that basically scared of his own shadow. Baby about everything. I would not put this collar on him just because I would never be able to put a collar on him again.)

Awesome collar! Used this with my very stubborn heeler pup. I mainly wanted this for recall. It was hit or miss whether she would come when called (mostly miss), especially when she was distracted. It does take some time to get your dog used to it, but once you get the hang of it its very easy to use. My pup is 5 months now but we are off leash in the yard and woods. This is also great for corrections when you can’t get to the dog fast enough. I use the collar at a level 3 which I can’t even feel. Boost at 13 which I can feel but isn’t painful. I use boost for when she tries to herd my daughter, and worked great for training her not to eat the chickens. The vibrate really does nothing for her except cause her to itch her neck. I’ve not tested the range, it’s plenty for my purposes and we’ve not even got close to needing the full range. We have tested the water proofing many times and never had any issues there. I guess the only negative is that she chewed the bungee cords off where she could reach them immediately, luckily there was enough left to still use. Overall this was definitely worth the money. I would’ve lost my mind without it! My dog now helps me with the chicken chores and comes with me to check trail cams, no leash needed and it’s great. She’s actually excited when I get it out because she knows it’s off leash time!

Great collar. Works like a charm if you’re serious about training your dog. Only had one hiccup where it stoped working but it was covered under warranty and within a week I got the collar back.
