If input SDI has closed captioning embedded in it, will the outputs also maintain that closed captioning data?

Although I haven't dealt with closed captioning for a while and not at all with the J-Tech DA, it should pass the closed-captioning signal though. For the price its worth a try. If it doesn't work Amazon is really good at taking back returns. That said I have found the J-tech DAs unreliable though and have recently upgraded to trays of DAs and converters. The J-tech filled the gap though until I could afford to buy the real thing.

im going to use this to split a camera signal (AHD) between to sites about 500ft apart do anyone know if this will work?

This will work fine as long as you have decent cable. These are nice little units

We needed a way to split our SDI camera input to two separate computer systems (primary and backup). These have been perfect. Picture quality is awesome on both outputs. We've got 4 of these as we have four cameras in the church. They have been working perfectly for us. Setup was about as easy as you can get. Plug and play basically. You can't go wrong if you need to split video.

6/6/17 - This splitter is in fact "Premium Quality" with the best priced. I've purchased two so far and they both have worked great! J-Tech Digital Customer Support team is always ready to help with any technical support you may need, even if you don't know what you're doing. Highly recommended! 6/3/17 - My original review was inaccurate, I've since verified that all 4 outputs work great. When I experienced my initial display problem, about an hour later I had an SDI to HDMI Converter intermittently start to fail on me. At the time I had no evidence to show that both problems were related to the Converter. My apologies to the seller and my thanks for his support. 6/1/17 - Quick response from the seller to support any issues. Currently working with the seller to verify that the splitter is in fact the cause of my problem or not. I will update this review once this is confirmed. 5/30/17 - Out of the box the #3 Output distorted the color of the image to drastic to fix with the TV color adjustments. Switching the cable to the #4 Output resolved the issue. I'll be replacing this item for another to give it another chance.

My Blackmagic production switcher was unable to isolate camera audio for my Aux outputs to my 4x2 3Play Instant replay system. The SDI splitter work perfectly to get my camera feeds to my replay system and production switcher. A great buy and way cheaper than buying a video production router.

Excellent, works as it should. Splitting signal from 1 source sending to 2 projectors. Simple setup.
