Berkley Gulp! Alive! Shrimp Assortment , 3-Inch

I have used these several times now and found them effective for catching spots, black drum, and flounder. Bait was used 2.0 hook under a popping cork.

Paddle tails not getting hit? Mirro-dines not being smashed? These will do it ! Under a bobber or on a fish finder with a small egg, these will get crushed. Get the assorted, because you don’t know if it’s new penny, white or natural they want on that day, at any given time. Once dry, you’re not getting them off the hook unless you soak them in water

You can toughen up the Gulp by putting it in the sun on the jig. When it gets hard it will adhere to the jig. Put Gulp with jig back in the juice aund it will get soft but wont rip so easily. Texas guide trick. 1/8 oz jig works great. 1/4 will work too. Bent rods to ya.

Compared to other Gulp products I've used in the past, these were not very durable. They worked well for Sea Trout but seemed I had to change them every time I caught a fish. I can do that with live shrimp.

Fish, crab, heck even eel love this thing. It doesn't have much swimming action, but that scent seems to be absolutely irresistible for ocean critters. I sometimes go as far as sticking 1 or 2 in a crab pot to soak, as like the secret bait! But yea, just throw it on a jig head and you're good to go! Bounce it around slowly, and fish will even come out of their hidey holes to strike it. Its pretty durable as well, standing up to eels tugging & ripping at it non-stop. These shrimp waaaaaay out last the Gulp! Squid , which can't seem to handle more than 4-5 fish before being torn apart.

We took a flats fish trip down to Steinhatchee Fl. At the time of year we were going it was hit or miss if you could buy live shrimp. I bought these as a back up. They turned out to be awesome. They look realistic They stay on the hook well and you don’t have to try to keep them alive. I highly recommend you try them. I don’t know if the work in every situation that you would use live shrimp, but they definitely worked for me.
