I hardly ever write review but this hat is light so on hot summer days its perfect bc its ventilated. It was perfect for a day out at a water park. I washed it in the washing machine and air dried and the shape held as did the stiching. Buying a 2nd pair so my husband stops stealing it.

It is almost waterproof, good when raining or swimming and blocks the sun UV rays.

Loved the hat for pool and beach use but the button on the top rusted and looks bad now.

I find those five panel soft running hats to be kind of dorky looking. This looks like a regular hat but stands up to the abuse of running and lifting. Just rinse, let dry and repeat!Update: didn’t quite make it a year before the hardware started rusting and bleeding onto the hat.

While you could spend a lot more (or even less) for a similar hat, this one does a pretty decent job at being a hat. It’s light, fits well, and keeps your head from sweating too badly out in the sun. My only issue, and main reason for dropping it down a star, is the top cap that’s on the very top of the hat, snapped off somewhere and now only the sharp metal clip remains.
